Council #1716, local to Athens OH, will be hosting our annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship on January 31, 2026 at the Nelsonville-York City School District Middle School.
This is a free event open to all boys and girls, ages 9 to 14. Pre-registration is not required. Registration will now start at 8:00 A.M. instead of 10:00 A.M. The opening ceremony will now start at 8:30 A.M. instead of 10:30 A.M.
Starting at approximately 8:45, depending on who is registered, competition will start with girls or boys age 9 and advance by age and gender up to age 14. All competitions should be concluded by 10:45 P.M. when Championship winners are announced. One for every age and gender.
Championship winners will be eligible to advance to the regional level of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship in Marietta OH on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
