MABC Pumpkin Patch Hours are:
Mon-Sat 11pm-7pm
Sun: 12am-7pm
*please note that we might need to close due to inclement We had our first pumpkin patch in 2007.

Originally, the money was used to sponsor a mission trip the youth were taking to Puerto Rico. As the patch grew, it has provided mosquito nets for our sister church in Liberia, relief through Bethlehem Ministry in Haiti, and helped support local missions like Interfaith Hospitality Network, in addition to paying for 1/2 of our 15 passenger bus. Milledge Avenue Baptist Church has become known around Athens as the Pumpkin Church. The proceeds have grown each year so that now the money is used in many more ways and to benefit a variety of areas in the church and community.

It’s been a wonderful, yet very full day at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church. For the second week in the small group Bible study I lead there were tears, followed by, “that was just what I needed to hear this week.” Then in worship we wrapped up a 16-month series on Old Testament stories and had someone join the church. After worship folks departed for the front lawn and were joined by volunteers from local High Schools to unload the 2nd pumpkin truck. Lots more orange was added to the MABC Pumpkin Patch. Then at 4pm we celebrated the life of the amazing Norris Mullis. What a life he lived, filled with vibrant stories he was more than happy to share (accompanied by his joyous laugh), and words of wisdom and encouragement he freely offered. He will be missed, but his incredible family will carry on the legacy he and Tommie have left.
