Our youth engaged in a meaningful service by cooking for families at the Athens Area Homeless Shelter, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the humanity in everyone. This initiative not only provided nourishment but also fostered empathy and understanding of homelessness. Together, we can make a difference!

This Sunday, August 9, is Rally Sunday at St. Gregory's and all are invited! Christian Formation is back in session, beginning at 9:30 (and so is choir practice, if you'd like to try that instead). At the 10:30 service on Rally Sunday, we will have our first ever Instructed Eucharist. This means we will change the rhythm of worship to accommodate questions, answers, and explanations about why we do what we do in Sunday worship. There will be no Children’s Chapel, so that our younger ones can be present with us.This is a great opportunity for anyone who is new to or curious about the Episcopal Church, or even if you're an old-timer who wants to refresh your liturgical knowledge or learn more beyond "this is the way we've always done it."

If you believe that Instructed Eucharist may not be for you— maybe you find it distracting, irreverent or unnecessary for your spiritual journey at this time—that’s okay. Please feel welcome to join us at 8:00 AM, which will simply be our regular early service. Also, our sister church Emmanuel, will have their regular services as well. (Episcopal church is Episcopal church, and God is everywhere. There is no competition between churches in the Beloved Community. And the Rev. Katie Bradshaw is wonderful!)
