Christian Students at UGA

Christian Students at UGA "Pursue...with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 2 Timothy 2:22. We're a non-denominational Christian club at the University of Georgia.

We focus on the Bible, fellowship, community, and the gospel. Check us out at our website! Beliefs:

We hold the faith that is common to all believers. (Titus 1:4, Jude 3)

The Bible is the complete divine revelation inspired by God through the Holy Spirit word by word. (2 Peter 1:21; 1 Tim. 3:16)

God is uniquely one, yet triune–the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. (1 Tim. 2:5a; Matt. 28:19)

The

Son of God, even God Himself, was incarnated to be a man by the name of Jesus Christ. (John 1:1, 14)

Christ died on the cross for our sons, shedding His blood for our redemption. (1 Peter 2:24, Eph. 1:17a)

Christ resurrected from among the dead on the third day. (1 Cor. 15:4)

Christ ascended to the right hand of God to be the Lord of all. (Acts 1:9, 2:33, 36)

Whenever any person repents to God and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he is regenerated (born again) and becomes a living member of the one Body of Christ. (Acts 20:21; John 3:3; Eph.1:22-23; Rom. 12:5)

Christ is coming again to receive His believers to Himself. (1 Thes. 2:19)

Recap from our Spring conference on “The Gospel of the Kingdom”

“God’s children, we’re born to be kings with His Son,
And we need to be trained that we may overcome
And to know how to rule in His kingdom as kings,
That His kingship thru us be expressed o’er all things.”

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and I set you that you should go forth and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give you.” (John 15:16)

In order to bear fruit, the branches need to abide in the vine, but the abiding itself is not the goal. The abiding the process for the goal which is fruit bearing. As the branches our main function is to bear fruit.

As we go forth to produce believers in the Lord, we need to care for them. We care for them by nourishing and teaching them so that they may become the remain fruit.

“Out from whom all the Body, being joined together and being knit together through every joint of the rich supply and through the operation in the measure of each one part, causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:16)

Experiencing God as life is not only an individual matter, it is also a cooperate matter.

The best way to have spiritual growth and receive spiritual benefit is to find a few brothers and sisters to be our spiritual companions so that we can be open to one another, seek one another and help one another.

The benefits of having spiritual companions are too great!!

We are continuing with Choosing Christ tonight at 6pm!

“As for the saints who are on the earth, they are the excellent; / All my delight is in them.” (Psalm 16:3)

We had an awesome time on our spring break trip last week! We were in California for 6 days sightseeing but also blending and fellowshipping with different believers in SoCal.

We are back tonight with our Ministry Series, see you at 6PM!

“And He died for all that those who live may no longer live to themselves but to Him who died for them and has been raised.” (2 Corinthians 5:15)

Living to the Lord is deeper in significance than living for the Lord. Living for the Lord implies that you and the Lord are still two; living to the Lord indicates that you are one with the Lord.

To live to the Lord involves us spending time with Him, to know Him in a deeper way. And not just to know the Lord in a way of knowledge but to know Him in an experiential way.

“I exhort you therefore, brothers, through the compassions of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1)

This is the constraining of God’s love and His requirement on us. With the love we should respond by presenting ourselves to Him. We have received such a great love from God. How can we not respond to God’s love.

When we respond to God’s love by concentrating ourselves to Him we enter through the gate of consecration. But concentration is not only a gate, it is also a path. After we enter through the gate of consecration we must continue to walk on the path.

May the Lord keep us on this path of consecration!

See you tonight at 6pm!

“That Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love,” (Ephesians 3:17)

The Lord doesn’t just want our logic, He wants our entire heart. Since our heart is the totality of all our inward parts and the center of our inward being, when Christ makes His home in our heart, He fills entire inward being and supplies and strengthens every inward part with Himself.

“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; And the peace of God, which surpasses every man’s understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

See you tonight at 6 PM!

When approval becomes the goal, truth becomes negotiable. Paul chose Christ, not popularity — because the gospel he received wasn’t from men but through revelation by Jesus Christ.

“For I make known to you, brothers, concerning the gospel announced by me, that it is not according to man. For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation by Jesus Christ.” (Galatians 1:11-12).

When we are being transformed it means that God is inwardly working to spread His divine life and nature throughout every part of our being, particularly our soul.

Our mind is the leading part of our soul and as it is renewed, our will and emotion automatically follow to be renewed also.

As a result of this inward change, we will be transformed into the image of Christ.

“But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
