The Sparrow’s Nest will be closed on June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.

Today, we honor the end of slavery in the United States and recognize the strength, perseverance, and contributions of Black Americans throughout our nation's history. Juneteenth is a time to reflect on the meaning of freedom, celebrate progress, and recommit ourselves to building stronger, more compassionate communities.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to learn, reflect, and honor this important day.

Monday's Devotion: Deuteronomy 4:9-10🕊️

One of the key messages of Deuteronomy 4:9-10 is that faith must be intentionally passed from one generation to the next. Before Moses tells God's people to teach their children, he tells them to remember. We cannot pass down a faith that we do not actively cherish ourselves.

Faith is not passed down through instruction alone, but through example. Others learn from our trust in God, our prayers, our obedience, and the stories we tell of His faithfulness.
