Grace
As fallen, sinful, spiritually dead people, there is nothing in us that would warrant God’s love. It is by grace that we are saved. (see Eph 2:1, 8-10)
Covenant
A covenant is an agreement between two parties that involves blessing and obligations (or promises and conditions). God has entered into a covenant relationship with us. The heart of that covenant is his promise to “be God to [us]
and to [our] children after [us].” (Gen 17:7; see also Exod 6:7; Jer 30:22)
It is the outworking of this covenant that the Bible unfolds for us. Church
Church isn’t something you do. It isn’t something you go to. It isn’t a building. It’s the gathered people of God united together with Christ. Grace Covenant Church is merely one local expression of that worldwide Church.
