Jesus Saves — Acts 2:22–24

Jesus was no ordinary man. Through Him, God displayed mighty works, wonders, and signs that revealed His divine power and pointed people to the source of life.

Even the cross was not an accident. Jesus was delivered according to God’s perfect plan—a plan that existed from the very beginning. Though sinful people acted with evil intentions, God used their actions to accomplish His greater purpose.

And death did not have the final word. God raised Jesus from the dead, breaking the power of death forever.

So what should we do? We must answer some important questions: Who is Jesus? He is the Son of God, our Savior.

Saved from what? Our sin—the very thing that separates us from God.

Why do we need saving? Because the wages of sin is death.

How are we saved? By believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Pastor Andy reminded us that no matter how badly you've failed, God’s grace is greater. He can redeem your mistakes and use your life for His purposes.Trust Him today.

When life doesn't make sense, what happens to your faith?

Prayer isn't just something we talk about. It's something we do.

We pray when life is heavy.
We pray when we're grateful.
We pray when we don't have the words.
And we pray because God listens.

So today, pause for a moment and pray.
Pray for your family.
Pray for your neighbors.
Pray for your church.
Pray for the hurting, the lonely, the sick.
Pray with gratitude.
Pray with faith.
Pray even when you don't know what to say.

Because prayer isn't just something we talk about. It's something we do. ❤

Today's message. 5/24/2026
Today we were challenged to think of prayer as a verb. Prayer calls us to action and to live on mission! Part of Dogwood's mission statement is to live on mission--specifically, make disciples by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in our community.

How can we do this better?
• Remember our faith--what Jesus did for us.
• Fan into flames the gift of the Holy Spirit--allow Him to move in your life, giving you power, love, and self control.
• Do not fear. Fear grips us into inaction.

Let's do this together!
