The purposes of Redemption Community Outreach Ministries, Inc. (ROCM) are:

A. To initiate, participate in, maintain, and aid all such religious and charitable works as the Board of Directors may determine advisable including, but not limited to, mission agencies, schools, and churches. To promote and carry on any other religious, charitable, or educational purposes and activities for which corpor

ations may be organized and operated under the relevant provisions of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and under the Alabama Nonprofit Corporation Act. MISSION: The mission of ROCM is to KNOW Jesus, LOVE Jesus and REFLECT Jesus in our communities and world. VISION: A church that changes lives and the community; spreads the good news of Jesus Christ through teaching the word of God and the testimonies of our lives; and provides worship experiences that encourage the members and visitors, with special emphasis on the growth of our youth. COLORS: Red and Green; Red – The Redeeming blood of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:7). Green – Abundant Life (John 10:10)

Each year, on this second Sunday of Advent, we meet John the Baptist, preaching in the desert of Judaea. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all interpret what John is doing and saying as a fulfillment of these words of the Prophet Isaiah: “A voice cries in the wilderness: Prepare a way for the Lord, make his paths straight.”
