Children are on my mind today. We just made up for our missed summer trip with our grandson Jaxon this week (Nonnie had a broken foot and we were forced to delay it). Anyway, I couldn’t help but think about how priceless every moment of a child’s life is. You don’t have very long to tuck them in bed at night, you don’t have long to read them a story(or to tell them one), you don’t have long to sing them their special night song, you don’t have long to play a table game with them, you don’t have long to take them on a hike teach them about wild turkey or deer or pheasant or which plants are safe to eat and which ones aren’t. So when you’re thinking about all of the important stuff adults “have to do” or choosing your favorites over playing in the yard or listening to what they’ve learned because you already know it…remember it doesn’t really take much time and there’s not really that much time for you to do it.
