God doesn't just want our worship. He doesn't just want us to read our Bible daily. He wants to see us living out the life He's given us according to His will. And the biggest part of that life is the way we treat others.

If we spend all of our time trying to make ourselves more holy, we're missing His message. God wants us to serve others; to care for the sick, the poor, the widows and orphans. He wants us to defend the defenseless.

The two most important commands we've been given are to love God and love people. We can't do one without the other.

Today, think of ways that you can love and serve others. Then take steps to make that happen......

As a child, I was convinced there were monsters under my bed. The fear felt real, and some nights it seemed impossible to ignore.

Years later, I've learned that while the monsters may be gone, fear still has a way of showing up. It just looks different now. The good news I’ve discovered in His word and as I’ve grown in my faith… fear may be loud, but my God is greater.

Do you ever feel like you have 57 tabs open in your brain? We spend a lot of time thinking about things like what we'll eat, what we'll wear and what we need to do next in regards to a million other daily tasks.

But Jesus has made it really simple for us. When we focus on His Kingdom and aligning with His will, He takes care of our basic needs. We don't have to spin our wheels, trying to figure it all out.

This week, let's work on closing those tabs we've left open in our brains. We can lay our worries at the feet of Jesus. Let's focus on being more like Him, and trusting that He'll take care of us......

Today we celebrate the dads in our lives. It's a great day for those who have a good relationship with their dad.

But for some, it's a tough day. Whether you have a broken relationship with your dad, an absent dad, or a dad who has gone to be with Jesus, Father's Day has a different feel.

But we have a Heavenly Father who loves us more than we can possibly comprehend. He shows His children wonderful compassion when we most need it.

Today, find time to celebrate your Heavenly Father. Let Him know how much you love Him. Let His overflowing compassion wash over you......

Sin brings shame. Sometimes we're so ashamed by our actions, we don't even want to talk to God about it.

But guess what? God already knows. He just wants to hear it from us. He wants an open line of communication.

God doesn't want us living in shame. He offers us forgiveness. All we need to do is confess to Him what we've done, and make every effort to do better.

If you are struggling with sin, stop beating yourself up and living in shame. We all mess up. Talk to God today. Admit what you've done and ask Him to help you to do better. Live in the forgiveness that God so freely offers. .....

Sometimes the lost view Christians as being bound by tons of rules. We've given up our rights to do whatever we want.

When we begin to follow Jesus, we do indeed give up our rights to do whatever we want. But that's because we realize that we're inherently sinful, and not everything we want is good for us. We trust the Holy Spirit to lead us on the path thay God specifically designed for us.

There is freedom in not having to be in control of everything. When we trust God and His plan, we have the freedom to enjoy life and all of the things He has so graciously provided to us.

As followers of Jesus, we're no longer slaves to sin. We are free to make our own decisions, armed with the knowledge we receive from God's Word.

Living God's way is so much better than living our own way. He has gifted us with the Holy Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Thank you God, for saving me from being stuck in sin. Your gift of the Holy Spirit has shown me true freedom. Please give me boldness to share with others, so that they can come to know You, too. It's in the mighty name of Jesus that I pray. Amen. .....

When we have a relationship with Jesus, it should be evident in the way we live. No, we won't instantly become perfect like Jesus. But we should be doing our best to live like Him.

We should show others kindness. We should have a servant's heart. We should give generously. It all boils down to living our lives in such a way that it points others to Jesus.

Will we mess up? Of course. In those times we just get up, dust ourselves off and try again.

Jesus died for everyone. Let's see and treat others as He would.

Lord, I'm sorry for the times I've acted more like the world than like You. Help me to focus on living in such a way that it draws others to You. I want everyone to know the joy of a relationship with You. It's in your Holy and precious name I pray. Amen. .....

Loving others the way Jesus loves us is a pretty tall order. Jesus is perfect. How can we possibly love others the way He loves us?

If we want to love others the way Jesus does, we must first see them the way Jesus does. He died for every person we'll ever come into contact with. Everyone is worthy of love.

Jesus served others. When we serve others, we're showing them the love of Jesus. When we prioritize the needs of others above ourselves, that's love.

Jesus isn't asking us to give away what we don't have. He's lavished so much love on us. We have a constant stream of love filling us up, so that we can allow His love to overflow onto others.

Today, ask God to place people in your path that need to be shown the love of Jesus. Then love on some folks. When you do, you'll realize that He's supplied you with more than enough love to share......
