When life hits us hard, we often turn to friends and family for help. Sometimes we even reach out to others via the internet.

But the One who is more able to help us that anyone is our Creator. Why do we spin our wheels trying to come up with solutions, when we have a Heavenly Father who is waiting for us to come to Him?

God created us, and He loves us more than we can fathom. Why do we not think to go to Him before we go to others?

There's nothing wrong with telling others about our situation. But if we go to God first, we may get the answer we need before talking to anyone else. And God has a way of putting things in perspective.

This week, when you need help, be intentional to go to God first. Then listen to His response and obey......

God doesn't bully us into loving Him. Fearing God isn't about hiding in a corner and trembling. It's not about being scared at all.

The fear of God is a holy reverence. It's standing in awe of Him. God is all-knowing and all-powerful. He created the universe and everything in it. He can have anything, yet he wants us. It's so humbling.

God loves us so much that He gave us free will. And when we used that free will to actively oppose Him, He didn't stop loving us.

He sent Jesus, a piece of Himself to live alongside us. Jesus suffered a horrible death so that we can spend eternity with Him in Heaven.

So how could we fear a God who has given everything He has to show how much He loves us? When we truly know God, we respect Him. We stand in awe of all that He has done and continues to do. We worship Him. And we share Him with others. .....
How will you show God reverence today?

Notice that love is the first fruit of the Spirit listed in today's verses. We can't demonstrate any of these fruits towards others without love. Love makes it about others, and not ourselves.

When we possess the fruits of the Spirit and use them to love on others, we're showing them Jesus in a very tangible way.

Just like the fruits that we eat, fruits of the Spirit must be nurtured in order to grow. By reading God's Word and spending time in prayer, we can develop the fruits that God has given us.

Today, look at your actions towards others. Are you offering them fruits of the Spirit? How does that affect your interactions with them?.....
Which fruit of the Spirit is most difficult for you to show others? Will you ask God to help you to nurture it?

God is our rock. I'm not talking about a little pebble. I'm talking about a giant boulder that can't be moved. He never leaves us or changes.

He's our fortress. He's a safe place for us in times of danger, fear and uncertainty. When the enemy is throwing everything he can at us, we can run to the safety of our God.

He's our deliverer. He stays by our side through our trials and walks through them with us. He guides us to safety.

God is all of these things and so much more. He loves us more than we can comprehend. While people will fail us, our God never will.

Today, take time to think about all of the times you've depended on God. Thank Him for being so steadfast. Praise Him for all that He's done in your life. Then tell someone about Him......
When has God been your rock?

Some of us worry a lot. Telling ourselves not to worry can make it worse. But today's verse contains so much wisdom.

Animals and plants don't worry, and God provides for them. Maybe the reason we worry so much is because we're trying to handle things in our own power.

And we don't just worry about today. We worry about tomorrow, or even next Tuesday. When we get stuck in a cycle of worry, it just keeps growing and growing.

What can we do instead of worrying?

We can go to our Heavenly Father with the things that are weighing us down. He already knows our situation, but He wants to hear it from us. That's part of having a relationship.

We can ask for His help. Then we must remember to leave those worries with Him. We're not allowed to pick them back up. (I see you, sister, and I'm guilty of this myself).

Worry keeps our brains stuck, while not offering any solutions. Most of the stuff we worry about never even happens! Let's get in the habit of giving our worries to God, and find the peace that only He can provide. .....

You can trust the One who already knows what’s ahead.

He’s been faithful before, and He’ll be faithful again.

Jehovah Jireh. Our Provider. Always.

Because of Jesus, we can live a life that reflects Him. He has provided the power for us to withstand any trial. We have the Holy Spirit living inside of us.

God has given us His Word to store up in our hearts. When we're in a situation that requires strength, we can remember what His Word says.

Through prayer, we have 24/7 access to God. We can talk to Him in good times and bad.

But we must take the initiative to use the tools He's given us. If we choose to ignore what God has provided and depend on ourselves, we'll fail every time.

God has set us up with everything we need to live a godly life. Will we accept it?.....
