Join Practitioner BJ DeGirolamo and Rev. Susan Jones for our Spiritual Living Prayer Circle on Tuesday, June 23, 2026

This connection circle meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month.from 11:00 AM–12:30 PM at our center.

Each gathering includes a group discussion of an article from the Science of Mind magazine, followed by a sacred time to share and hold each other’s prayer requests for the month.

All are welcome to connect, reflect, and uplift one another in a loving space.

This week's spiritual practice invites us to notice what we may be holding onto too tightly and gently release our need to control outcomes, making space for Divine Wisdom, trust, and guidance to lead the way.

1) Think about the parable of the monkey and the peanuts.

Consider what you might be mentally gripping so tightly that you can’t see the forest for the trees.

~ What story or belief are you holding onto that is not the Truth with a capital T?

~ Is it time to stop trying to play God and place your trust in the Divine instead?

Grasping at the feather creates the wind current that pushes it away.

2) Practice clenching your fists and then opening them, leaving your hands open for a bit when doing your spiritual practices. See what that feels like.

~ Let the Divine in and allow it share its wisdom with you.

3) Remember your word is your wand.

This week we are exploring the power of surrender and discovering that it is not weakness. It is strength. It is trust. It is the willingness to release our grip on what we cannot control and open ourselves to the wisdom of something greater.

Each day offers a simple practice to help us embody Spiritual Surrender in real and meaningful ways. Whether you are following along every day or simply taking one small step, know that every act of trust creates space for more peace, freedom, and grace.

“Stop trying, stop struggling; begin to be calm, to trust in the higher laws of life, even
though you do not see them; they are still there.” – Ernest Holmes

How much of our energy is spent striving, forcing, and trying to make life unfold on our timetable? Ernest Holmes reminds us that there is another way. When we release the struggle and cultivate trust, we open ourselves to the wisdom and intelligence already at work beneath the surface. Even when we cannot see the path ahead, life is still moving, growing, and supporting us. Sometimes the greatest act of faith is not doing more, but trusting more.

The next Singing as Spiritual Practice Connection Circle meets Monday, June 22nd!

Join Dorene Garvin for an hour of singing as a spiritual practice, where simple songs from many traditions attune us to one another and the Divine. No experience or “good” singing required, as this is about connection, not performance. Dorene will lead on guitar and teach the songs, followed by fellowship and the sharing of Prasad, food blessed with the energy of the gathering.
