This week began Lent, the 40-day season prior to Easter (minus the Sundays) in consideration of the days Jesus spent in the wilderness. This time of reflection helps us to grow in our understanding of the love of Christ and deepens our relationship with God. These 40 days will serve to prepare us for a more meaningful celebration of remembrance on Good Friday and Easter.
