We kicked off our pr***en series Set Apart last night. These kids are 10 and 11 years old. The recap gives just a glimpse of what they are seeing and experiencing in our world (these things came straight from them). They brought up several MUCH heavier topics that they see going on all around them that aren’t mentioned here.

The world is trying to pull our kids in and away from God at younger ages than ever before. Intentionally disciplining our kids to stand firm in their faith is so important! Teaching them about discernment, conviction, and how to really dig into God’s Word and live for Him is crucial. Teach them to read, interpret, and pray over scripture. Start at home. If the world and society disregards their age then we as churches and parents must do the same. They aren’t too young to be taught how to be Set Apart for God!

Since we’re settling into the new school year we challenged our kids to live on a 9 month mission in their schools this year! They are never too young to reach others for Christ and their school is the perfect mission field. We talked about the importance of prayer and each student was tasked with naming 9 people to pray for, care for, and speak to about Jesus not just once but for the entire 9 month school year! (friends, enemies, teachers, classmates, bus drivers, anyone associated with their school mission ground).

Let’s pray for strength and boldness for our kids to carry out this mission of living for and leading others to Jesus in their schools this year!

Our youth and leaders had a great time at our Next Level Night! Pizza, cupcakes, the frequently requested Rotel dip (iykyk😊), Mario Kart, board games, and a new favorite- Head, Shoulders, Knees, Cup.

We love our youth at Pine Forest and pray God’s love, protection, and abundant blessings as they return to school and move into new levels of life.

If you are looking for a youth or children’s group for your teen/child to be a part of on Wednesday nights we would love to have them! Every Wednesday at 6pm.
