Who will stand in the gap?

In a culture that is confused, divided, and drifting further from God’s design, the Lord is still looking for men who will stand firm in truth, lead their homes, serve in the Church, disciple the next generation, and refuse to bow to the pressures of the culture.

Today, the men of Remnant Shores gathered for fellowship, prayer, the Word of God, and honest conversation. We shared meals, carried one another’s burdens, prayed for one another, and remembered our brother in Christ, Will.

The Church doesn’t need more passive men. It needs men who will pray. Men who will lead. Men who will serve. Men who will protect their families. Men who will stand for righteousness when it is unpopular. Men who will take their place in the Kingdom of God and help lead the Church in this generation.

God is still raising up men who will stand against the darkness of the age—not with anger or politics, but with holiness, courage, conviction, and love for Jesus Christ.

Revival will not come through compromise. Revival comes when ordinary men fully surrender to God and answer His call to stand in the gap for their families, their churches, and their communities.

The question is not whether God is calling.

The question is: Who will answer?

“Though our time with Will was short, he became deeply loved by our church family. He may have entered our community alone, but he did not leave this world alone. Will was our family, and we will carry his memory in our hearts for years to come.”

There will be no service on Wednesday as we will have Will’s funeral at 5 pm.

Please join us at the church to hear about this precious man named Will.

Wednesday, May 27th at 5 pm at Remnant Shores Church.

Join us for FORGE — a powerful gathering focused on discipleship, leadership, and men rising up to take their place in the Body of Christ.

This is more than a meeting.
It’s a call to build strong men, strong homes, and strong disciples.

Today our Remnant Shores family is grieving the tragic loss of our brother, Will.

Will had experienced years of homelessness and hardship, but over the last season of his life, we watched hope begin to rise again. One of the members of our church took Will under his wing, loved him well, and helped him begin rebuilding his life. Over time, Will became part of our church family.

Just a few weeks ago, we had the honor of baptizing Will as he publicly declared his faith in Jesus Christ. Recently, he had gotten an apartment, a bed to sleep in, and was stepping into a new beginning.

This tragedy is also a sobering reminder of the destruction that impaired driving and substance abuse can bring. In a moment, lives are forever changed. Today, a man lost his life, families are grieving, and another life has also been forever altered because of one decision.

As a church, we are praying for everyone impacted — for Will’s loved ones, for our church family, for first responders, and also for the driver involved. We pray for mercy, repentance, healing, and that this tragedy would awaken hearts to the seriousness of driving under the influence.

Will mattered deeply to us.
He was seen.
He was loved.
He was a brother in Christ.
And we are thankful that before he passed, he encountered the love and hope of Jesus.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
