The storm may have knocked out our power and brought down trees across our beautiful village, but it hasn’t shaken our spirit.
We are so incredibly grateful for the immediate kindness, cooperation, and care being shown across our neighborhood right now. We are always grateful for the speedy and professional response of our village, the fire department, and all those who step up to keep this community safe. This is what community is all about. Tough times reveal the true strength of a community, and we will get through the cleanup together, shoulder to shoulder.
In moments like this, we lean on each other and on a higher promise:
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." — Psalm 46:1 (ESV)
Let’s keep looking out for one another through the night. Let’s lift one another in prayer and wake up tomorrow and seek to serve our neighbors. We stand in total solidarity with every family in Ashmore tonight. We will get through this.
