Church of the Redeemer

Church of the Redeemer An evangelical & reformed congregation. We desire that the people of Ashley may come to know the fullness of joy through the gospel of Jesus. Joyfully Christian.

Come join us on Sundays at 10:30am as we worship our Triune God. Distinctively Baptist. Confessionally Reformed. We joyfully confess the historic truths of the Christian faith. We affirm that the Holy Bible is the infallible, inerrant, and inspired Word of God, and subscribe to the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession, which we believe to be an accurate summary of the teaching of Scripture. We be

lieve that the chief end of man is to glorify God, and enjoy Him forever. Thus, humanity is happiest whenever enjoying God through His means of grace. We meet together for worship every Sunday morning at 10:30am. We have various other gatherings throughout the week (please check our website for a complete calendar of upcoming events). Our gatherings are generally very informal, so please, come as you are. Coffee and donuts (and sometimes pizza) are provided! We invite you to join us as we sing Scripture, study Scripture, teach Scripture, practice the "one anothers" of Scripture (i.e. love one another, welcome one another, show hospitality to one another, etc.), and preach expository sermons straight from Scripture. We would love to have you in our number as we seek to enjoy God forever!

This week's catechism questions (Q. 31-32):
Q. 31. What is effectual calling?
A. Effectual calling is the work of God’s Spirit, whereby, convincing us of our sin and misery, enlightening our minds in the knowledge of Christ, and renewing our wills, He does persuade and enable us to embrace Jesus Christ, freely offered to us in the Gospel.

Q. 32. What benefits do they that are effectually called partake of in this life?
A. They that are effectually called, do in this life partake of justification, adoption, sanctification, and the several benefits which in this life do
either accompany or flow from them.
