Though we see bread and wine, we know Christ is fully present with us — Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity — in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

May our devotion to the Eucharist be renewed and our worship reflect this truth!

In his latest column, Bishop Knestout reflects on Pope Leo’s first encyclical, “Magnifica Humanitas,” which focuses on AI and the Church’s mission, which always focuses on the human person.

He shares examples of programs offered in our diocese that support this mission through teaching, sanctifying, and performing works of charity.

Pope Leo said in his Corpus Christi homily June 7 at the Plaza de Cibeles that Jesus is not confined to the Church but "travels the streets, crosses the squares and visits our neighborhoods," identifying with " with the poor, the downtrodden, those who are alone and forsaken."
"He is a God who is close to us, who walks with his people, the Lord of history. He is comfort to the weak, light for families, hope for the sick and peace for those who suffer."
