Today, we remember the women and men who lost their lives during the 9/11 terrorist attacks and mark the 25th anniversary since this tragedy in our nation.

As we continue to pray for peace in our world, we ask for the intercession of Our Lady Queen of Peace to protect our nation and all those who defend it.

Twenty-five years ago, nearly 3,000 lives were lost on September 11, 2001. Firefighters, police officers, friends, family, and first responders gave everything running toward danger to save others. Today we honor them all.

In the wreckage searched at Ground Zero, a firefighter found a Bible fused to a piece of steel. Only one page remained legible, turned to Matthew 5: "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you: Do not resist an evildoer. But if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also."

That page is preserved today in the National September 11 Memorial Museum's collection. We will never forget 🕊️
