Substance Church gathers for worship at: 101 South Street, Ashland, Ohio (Sundays at 10am)

Substance is made up of Community Groups that meet together during the week, typically sharing a meal, praying together and living life together throughout the week—serving each other, their neighbors and the community as missionaries in the place that God has sent them. On Sunday mornings, these Community Groups gather together for worship through singing, taking communion, and hearing the Word preached—and celebrating how God is using his people to BE the church as disciples who make disciples! (Matthew 28:19-20)

If you would like to learn more about being a part of a Community Group, or have any other questions, please send an email to Pastor Ronnie Martin: [email protected]

On Sunday mornings in Ashland, we meet at 10am at 101 South Street, in the old Gilbert's building (parking in the rear of building). Sermons are available for downloading here: http://www.substance-church.org/sermons/ or on iTunes. If you are interested in partnering with Substance Church financially, there is online giving set up here: www.substance-church.org/give

Every week on the front of your bulletin, you will find liturgy that says "Prayer of Thanksgiving."

What is a Prayer of Thanksgiving?

God’s gifts of grace and physical provision should elicit our heartfelt gratitude. We respond to these good gifts of forgiveness and blessing with offerings of praise and thanksgiving as we recognize all that we have both spiritually and physically come from Him.

✨We can't wait to see you this Sunday at 10am for our morning gathering where we will sing together, pray and learn from Genesis 16:1-16.
________

The gospel story didn't begin in the New Testament.

Long before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, God was already announcing the good news of what he would accomplish through him. When God called Abraham, he promised to bless him, make him a great nation, and through him bring blessing to all the families of the earth.

As we walk through Genesis 12–25, we will see Abraham’s faith and his failures, God’s promises and his provision, and the unfolding covenant purposes that ultimately find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

The story of Abraham is part of the gospel story — and it points us to the God who saves by grace, keeps his promises, and provides what his people could never provide for themselves.

Every week on the front of your bulletin, you will find liturgy that says "Assurance of Grace." This week's Assurance of Grace is found in Psalm 42:8,11.

What is an Assurance of Grace?

In our assurance of grace we declare the sure promise of God’s grace in Christ, both personally and congregationally. We are reminded during this time that God has raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
