Substance Church gathers for worship at: 101 South Street, Ashland, Ohio (Sundays at 10am)

Substance is made up of Community Groups that meet together during the week, typically sharing a meal, praying together and living life together throughout the week—serving each other, their neighbors and the community as missionaries in the place that God has sent them. On Sunday mornings, these Community

Groups gather together for worship through singing, taking communion, and hearing the Word preached—and celebrating how God is using his people to BE the church as disciples who make disciples! (Matthew 28:19-20)

On Sunday mornings in Ashland, we meet at 10am at 101 South Street, in the old Gilbert's building (parking in the rear of building). Sunday, Sept. 13 & 27 (5:30-7:30pm)

Join us for one or both Sunday evenings as we examine Jesus's model for how He invited, invested, and ignited people into His Gospel—and how we can faithfully do the same. Come be equipped and encouraged as we grow together as disciple-makers of Jesus!

✨Join us this Sunday at 10am as we start our new series "The Gospel According to Abraham"

The gospel story didn't begin in the New Testament.

Long before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, God was already announcing the good news of what he would accomplish through him. When God called Abraham, he promised to bless him, make him a great nation, and through him bring blessing to all the families of the earth.

As we walk through Genesis 12–25, we will see Abraham’s faith and his failures, God’s promises and his provision, and the unfolding covenant purposes that ultimately find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

The story of Abraham is part of the gospel story — and it points us to the God who saves by grace, keeps his promises, and provides what his people could never provide for themselves.
