Greetings:
As we begin September, we anticipate the 22nd commemoration of International Peace Day on September 21. This year, Peace Day falls on a Monday.
Attached are some resources you can use to plan a commemoration of Peace Day with your congregation. Included:
· is the history of Peace Day with some suggestions for fostering a culture of peace.
· are some suggested activities for use with your congregation including 2 ways to use pinwheels.
· Are some worship resources
If you and your congregation commemorate Peace Day, share your story with me (with pictures if possible) and I will share it with the District. You may inspire others!

Remember: Peace begins when you make your peace with Jesus, accept Him as Savior, and follow Him as Lord. We are called to follow by being the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. That includes being active peacemakers!

Join in prayer this Thursday for members of our churches and communities of Haitian background who are facing increased immigration enforcement in Springfield, Ohio, and elsewhere.

The online gathering is organized by On Earth Peace , in partnership with five Church of the Brethren districts and Church of the Brethren Intercultural Ministries.

Come join us this Sunday, August 16th for the last of our Summer Fellowship Series. After the worship service we will gather in the fellowship hall for Barbecue Pork Sandwiches and Macaroni and Cheese. After that we will travel to Inspiration Hills Camp, 4819 Easton Rd, Burbank, OH 44214. There we will have an afternoon of hiking, scavenger hunts, a camp fire, and smores. We hope you can join us for an afternoon spending time in God's creation!
