🌟Teacher Highlight: Meet Mrs. Alecia!🌟

Today we’re introducing another wonderful member of our HOG Kids team, Alecia Richmond!

Mrs. Alecia has been serving in HOG Kids for about 4 years. You can find her loving on our littlest ones in the nursery on the second Sunday of each month (and many Wednesdays when needed!), as well as teaching our Clubhouse Kids (ages 8–12) on the second Wednesday of each month. Whether it’s a regular service or a special event like VBS or the Christmas Gift, Alecia is always willing to jump in and serve our kiddos with a joyful heart.

We asked Mrs. Alecia a few questions so our HOG Kids families could get to know her a little better!

❤️ What is your favorite thing about teaching our kids?
“Watching children grow in their own walk with the Lord. It’s exciting to see them learn new things about God and watch their faith grow week after week.”

📖 What is your favorite Bible verse?
“…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”— Matthew 28:20

💬 If you could give every child in HOG Kids one piece of advice, what would it be?
“Never stop seeking Him.”

Whether she’s rocking babies in the nursery or teaching in Clubhouse Kids, Mrs. Alecia is always helping children know and follow Jesus. We’re thankful for her servant’s heart and dedication to HOG Kids! 💙

🌟Teacher Highlight: Meet Mrs. Beth ("Mimi")!🌟

If you've spent any time around HOG Kids, you've probably met Mrs. Beth--or as most of our kids lovingly call her, Mimi!

Mimi has been serving in children's and youth ministries for over 30 years, with the last 7 years serving right here at House of Grace! She began in our nursery ministry and now serves with our Clubhouse Kids (ages 4-8) on the first Sunday of each month and every Wednesday evening. She also helps by preparing curriculum for both Clubhouse and Treehouse Kids, making sure our lessons are engaging and age-appropriate for every child. In addition, she helps with special events such as VBS, Holiday Meals for our kids, The Back to School Bash, The Gift and more!

We asked Mimi a few questions so our HOG Kids families could get to know her a little better:

❤️What is your favorite thing about teaching kids?
"Seeing children understand God’s love and watching their excitement when a Bible lesson connects with them. I especially love hearing them pray and talk to God, knowing they are growing their relationship with Him."

📖What is your favorite Bible verse:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

💬If you could give every child in HOG Kids one piece of advice, what would it be?
"No matter where life takes you, remember that God loves you more than you can imagine. Talk to Him every day, read His Word, be kind to others, and never be afraid to ask for help. You won’t always be perfect, but Jesus will always be with you. Let your light shine, and trust Him one step at a time.”

Children’s Worship/Tithe and 3rd -5th grade Lesson
Verse: Acts 22:16
And now what are you waiting for? GET UP, be Baptized and wash your sins away, call on his name.
Lesson: Matthew 3, (The Baptism of Jesus)
Food for thought ( questions the kids had)
1. Do you have to be baptized to go to Heaven?
2. You can not see the Holy Spirit so how do you know if you are baptized in the Spirit?
3. Fire is bad so why would you want to be baptized in the fire?
4. What does Baptism mean to you?

When you Get a chance talk with our kids they are full of knowledge and wisdom.

We are so incredibly thankful for our church and community.

To everyone who donated, baked, gave, bid, shared, and supported our VBS fundraiser — thank you. Because of you, our online auction was a huge success, and every dollar raised is going directly toward making Emerald Crossing VBS an amazing week for our kids.
