This flag was given to the church by someone who was moving out of town. They found the flag while packing, but the plaque was gone and they couldn’t remember specifically to whom it belonged. It once covered a veteran’s casket as he made his final march home, so we keep it here, at the church, as a reminder of those who served. As Paul said in Romans 12:10, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

We remember, we honor.

Today is the day! 4:30-6pm, cost is by donation, all of which goes directly to our Advent Christian missionaries. TAKE OUT AVAILABLE, if you know someone who could use a meal- this is a great opportunity to show some kindness and support missions-work. See you soon!

On May 2nd, we’ll be having a spaghetti supper to “benefit missions.” If you’ve wondered what that means, it’s our Penny Crusade missions program, which supports the Advent Christian missionaries. This year’s focus is on the programs in Japan, including the Agape House ministry. Every penny from the supper, including the spare change jars available to our congregation, goes directly to these missions.

YES, we will be having our Sunday morning 9:30 AM Easter service. State plows are out and so are we. We’re thankful for the chance to gather, even in a typical Maine winter.

Are you feeling crushed by the pressure all around you? Family, work, finances, it all weighs you down- yet God told Moses when the Egyptians were chasing them down, “You need only be still.” They just wanted an escape, but God never intended for them to run.
Is it really that simple? How can you be still in the midst of pressure? It’s up to you to fix it, make it happen, FIND a solution, isn’t it??
Tomorrow’s sermon entitled “the Greatest Impact” will talk about how your greatest impact to the world around you is in being still and steady- not rushing and solving.
Hint: footsteps of faith are easier to follow when they’re in a straight line, instead of running in circles.
