THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING — NEW SERIES

What happens when Jesus says something that challenges the way you already think?

This Sunday, we’re starting a brand-new series called THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING, looking at some of the words of Jesus that don’t just encourage us. They confront us. They challenge what we value, how we live, and what we believe.

We’re kicking things off with GREATNESS: The Last Will Be First.

We spend a lot of our lives trying to get ahead. We work hard, want our lives to matter, and usually have some pretty strong opinions about what’s fair.

Then Jesus tells a story that turns it all upside down.

Join us Sunday as we jump into Matthew 20 and ask what happens when Jesus challenges the way we think about success, fairness, and what it means to be first.

29 DAYS TO ERASE THE RED.

For the next 29 days, we’re asking Local to do something together.

See a need. Fill a need.

But this is about more than filling spots on a schedule.

Local Kids needs people who will invest in the next generation. Our students need adults willing to show up and become mentors. Security needs people watching the room so others can worship without worrying. Our creative teams need people willing to use what they know. Setup, teardown, hospitality, worship, groups—there are places all across Local where someone can step in.

This is where ownership begins.

Not waiting for somebody to ask. Not assuming somebody else will do it. Seeing something that needs to be done and saying, "I can help with that.”

And ownership isn't only about serving.

It shows up in our generosity too. Giving to Local means taking responsibility for the church we're building together and the mission God has given us.

Over the next 29 days, we want to ...

erase the red.

Not because we need names on a spreadsheet. Because "Local belongs to all of us."

See a need. Fill a need. And take ownership.

🏈🏀⚾ JERSEY DAY IS COMING TO LOCAL!

Wear your favorite jersey and come ready to find your team.

We believe church is more than sitting together on Sunday morning. We need people who know us, pray with us, encourage us, challenge us, and walk through life with us.
Jersey Day is our all-church Community Group sign-up day, and there’s a place for you.

We’ll have opportunities to connect through Men’s Study, Women’s Study, Families, Young Adults, Students, and Grief Support. Whether you’ve been at Local from the beginning or you’re still pretty new around here, this is a great time to take another step toward being known and building relationships.

Wear your jersey. Find your team. Don’t do life alone.

👋 Discover Local is THIS SUNDAY!

Maybe you’ve been coming to Local for a few weeks. Maybe it’s been a few months. You recognize some faces, you’re starting to feel at home, and you’ve been wondering what the next step might be.

We’d love to spend some time with you.

Discover Local is a chance to sit down together, share a little more about who we are, hear your story, answer your questions, and help you find your place at Local.

There’s no pressure and nothing you have to commit to. We simply want the opportunity to get to know you better. If you’ve been thinking, “I think Local might be my church,” this Sunday is for you.

We’d love to have you with us.

Right outside the Local office sits our little community pantry.

Take what you need. Leave what you can.

And one of the best things about it is that it belongs to all of us. People from our church bring food and fill it up. People in our community stop by and take what they need. Sometimes it’s full. Sometimes it gets emptied pretty quickly. Then somebody notices and fills it back up again.

That’s community.

It’s not a program that requires a sign-up sheet or a big event on the calendar. It’s simply our church paying attention to the people around us and doing what we can with what we have.

So Local, when you’re headed to the grocery store, grab a few extra things. When you’re coming to the office, bring something by. If you notice it getting low, help fill it back up.

And if you’re the one who needs something right now, take it. That’s why it’s there.

We talk a lot about moving people to love like Jesus. This is one small way we get to do that together.

Our church. Our community. Taking care of our neighbors.

This morning was Unplugged at Local.

Sometimes the best picture of a church isn’t what happens during a service. It’s what happens when people have enough time to simply be together.

Little kids playing on the floor. Teenagers hanging out. Families around tables. People who have been part of Local for a while sitting beside people who are still finding their place. Conversations everywhere, plenty of laughter, and at least one toddler making his way around the room collecting high-fives. 😂

That matters.

Because somewhere along the way, church has to become more than people recognizing each other on Sunday morning. Names become stories. Familiar faces become friends. People begin to know one another well enough to celebrate together, carry one another, and notice when someone needs them.

That doesn’t happen because something gets put on a calendar. It happens one conversation, one meal, one friendship, and one Sunday like this at a time.

Unplugged is simply making room for that.

This is Local. This is family.

FOLLOWING JESUS
WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE SOMETHING
WE DO BY
OURSELVES.

08/26/2026

Jesus—the name above every other name. The only one truly worthy of our praise and devotion. When we come together in worship and declare His worthiness, we're transformed. We're reminded that our lives are meant to be lived for Him.

08/26/2026

When life doesn't turn out the way we hoped, just remember that what we truly need is often a gentle reminder of faith. This special moment encourages us that sometimes God's answer isn't about fixing our circumstances—it's about giving us the strength to get through them. Just as we can't fix everything for our kids, we can't control every outcome either. But we can trust God to provide exactly what we need, one step at a time.
