*Spoiler Alert*
Signs of the “Last Days”

Let’s look at what Paul says to be on the lookout for!

Our reading today in 1Timothy 3:1-5 gives us precise examples :

1. People become lovers of themselves
2. Lovers of money
3. Proud, Arrogant
4. Abusive
5. Disobedient to parents
6. Ungrateful
7. Unholy
8. Heartless
9. Unappeasable
10. Slanderous
11. Without self control
12. Brutal
13. Not loving good
14. Treacherous
15. Reckless
16. Swollen with conceit
17. Lovers of pleasure rather than God
18. Having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power….

Whoa HT, we get it…did you have to list so many?? I didn’t, but Paul did. Why????

Because friends, he wants you to have a God given road map, a battle plan, a clear sign of things to look for so you are not uninformed!!

How many of these things have you personally witnessed in the last few years? Months? Weeks? Today…stay strong!

Always here for prayer requests, to meet with you to pray, or whatever you may need. ❤️HT

Today we look at scripture and song 🎵:
Our reading today in Romans 4:4 says “Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due”.

When we go to work each week, at the end of the week, or 2 week period, we EXPECT a paycheck, right? We work, we get ”our due”, what is owed to us.

That friends is what is SO incredible about GRACE, we don’t have to work for it, it’s a free gift from God. We can’t now or ever work long enough, hard enough, to earn it. It’s free for the taking. Just by believing and trusting Jesus!

The song lyrics posted are a beautiful reminder of this, listen to this song today and let it speak to your heart.
“Why are you still searching, as if I’m not enough”…He is enough, always will be. ❤️ HT

Christmas..We all love it! We look forward to it! But when it comes to receiving/giving gifts, well that often depends on a maturity level.

When we were young children, we loved to receive gifts, hopefully getting all the ones we asked for. But as adults, the storyline changes, especially if you have children, to giving, that gives you the most joy!

The same can be said about our walk with Christ. In the early days, we enjoy in the newness of our faith in God, we receive lots of “I’m so happy for your decision” and all the love your church hopefully showered you with!

But there comes a time, when you become more mature in your walk with Christ, that you go from “receiver” to “giver”. Paul reminds us of what Jesus said in Acts 20:35 “It is more blessed to give than receive”…not just material things, but encouragement, support,a smile, a handshake, and most importantly, giving the good news about our Savior… Hope your day is awesome and blessed! ❤️HT

Charlie Brown, The Psychiatrist and Jesus…

What do these have to do with each other? More than you may think 🤔

I keep this picture of Charlie Brown on my desk at work. It reminds me of a couple things:

1. I know I need help, can’t deny that. What I want, is to live a wholesome, Spirit driven life, but the flesh wars against that, daily, hourly at times.

2. Like Charlie is looking to Lucy in this picture , I often look to solve my own problems, situations. I make plans and then ask God to bless them, instead of asking God to make them as they fit into His plan for my life.

Psalm 46:1 tells us “God is our help and strength, a very present help in trouble”….always available.

Now I’m not dismissing the fact that we all need certain help at times , sometimes that’s a Doctor, a psychiatrist, a mechanic, but we must be careful about only going to God as a last resort…He desires to be 1st in your life and mine. Lucy-7¢, Jesus- Free. ❤️HT
