Ashford Graduation 2020

Hi everyone! I've recently been made aware that the email did not go out to everyone for the Ashford 8th Grade Portraits, I apologize for the delay!

The gallery password for the Ashford collection is "Ashford2020". You'll go to www.deannagrady.com and click on the Proofing tab then use the password to view the gallery. The gallery contains all of the images, you can create an account on the site then add your files to your favorites folder by clicking the heart icon for the image (depending on the device you use, the number at the top right of your screen indicating how many files are in the folder may or may not change from (0), the files are added regardless). You can also click the cart icon for each image to view the print and download options and add your selection to your cart. Each image has a base edit, once your order is placed the final hand editing will be done before printing or sending your download (ie- blemish and fly away retouching).

So our photographer will be arriving an hour early. If you would like pictures before the event please arrive at 6pm. The pictures before the event will be with a natural background and natural lighting. She will be able to take individual and family pics.

Pictures will also be available after the event and they will be more of a studio type lighting with flash.

This is due to sun setting and lighting.

Hello All,
Just some info as to tomorrow nights commencement. The Event starts at 7pm at the soccer fields at the school. Please have your graduate show up at 6:30.
• Park in the back lot and enter by the basketball court to the soccer fields. There will be a check in station where you will receive a program and instructions on where to bring their yearbooks and graduate seating instructions.
• Please set up your chairs 6 feet from other families, we ask that only family members sit together.
• Have your graduate bring their yearbook and cap, (if purchased one, if not no worries). You will be giving directions on where to drop them off to be signed. The signing of yearbooks will be at the end of the event.
• Bring a chair for family members, we will have seating for the Graduates.
• No need to bring diplomas.
• There will be no bathrooms available unfortunately at the event.
• Their will be a professional photographer taking pictures during and after the event.
 Please while waiting for your graduate to sign yearbooks and get their picture taking refrain from congregating, for we would like everyone to maintain social distancing.
• We ask that you leave through the same way that you arrived.
• Wear your mask upon arrival and exiting, or when you can not maintain 6 feet distance. Once you get to your spot with your family members you may remove your mask.
• Upon exiting there will be a sweet surprise for graduates please make sure you receive yours.
• If you have not inquired for extra tickets this is the last call. We will have a list of graduates and number of guests and due to CORONA guidelines, we have to have this number before the event. If you would like extra tickets you must respond to this e-mail or on the page/Ashford Graduation 2020.
We are excited to be providing an in person Graduation for our eighth graders and are glad that everyone can share in this event with us!

So everyone who requested extra tickets we will be able to honor your requests. We have to keep this event to a certain number per COVID guidelines. This means that if you have not requested extra tickets and would like to bring more family members or friends you MUST contact me. This can be done through commenting on this page or emailing me at [email protected].

Last call for extra tickets to graduation. I know several people expressed needing extra tickets but have to date only heard from a handful of families. We will be drawing names tomorrow so make sure your in the lottery.

If you need tickets either leave a comment with your name and number of EXTRA tickets.

Thanks can’t wait to see everyone Wed at 7. Remember graduates arrive at 6:30.

Below is e-mail I sent out this week I am pasting it below.

We need to know as to extra tix you may need and for families to RSVP to e-vote by end of today.

All,

Dory Moore sent out an e-mail on our behalf at the end of the school year to all of the parents in regards to an in person graduation that is being organized by several parents. If you did not respond to this e-mail we have tried to obtain contact information to get a hold of all. If we missed anyone we apologize. 8th grade parents have been diligently working on an in person graduation commencement for our 8th graders. This ceremony will take place on July 29th @ 7 pm. It will be held on the school grounds. The rain date will be the 30th. Mr. Hopkins and Representative Pat Pheanious have agreed to speak.

I have set up a page entitled Ashford Graduation 2020, on this page you will find an E-vite. Many families have RSVP’d, if you have not it is of upmost importance that you do by this Friday the 24th. If you will not be attending please still RSVP, for it enables us to obtain a headcount, for this event is limited in number due to COVID guidelines. Your spot can therefore be added to our lottery and another family may be able to utilize the tickets.

If we have not RSVP’d by This Friday, we will assume you are not attending.

Many families have expressed interest in obtaining additional tickets. Please respond to this E-mail by Friday the 24th with the additional # you will need. You will be placed into a lottery and will be contacted on Monday if you have been allotted extra tickets.

When attending the event please have your graduate arrive at 6:30.

Please have your graduate bring their yearbooks, for we will have a signing station set up. This will have gloves, masks and be set up so each graduate will be socially distant while signing. We will supply pens to each student.

Please bring a chair to the event and sit with your family members only. Make sure you allow at least 6 feet between groups. A mask is required and may be removed once you are within your seated area. When the ceremony is over and you are exiting the area please put your mask on to exit.

After your graduate receives their diploma we have graciously had a professional photographer agree to have them photographed.

I apologize again if this is the first notification. We tried to get all contacts and just obtained the missing ones very recently. In the e-vite there is information in regards To purchasing a cap. You will have to call the number of the company to be sure it will arrive in time if you wish to purchase one.

I ordered 2 days ago and it has shipped.

Also:

The e-vite only allows 3 guests. This includes the graduate and two others. If there are extra tickets we will raffle them off prior to event. We have to limit due to CORONA restrictions.
