Love in a Backpack at St. John's, Ashfield When a woman is released from prison, she has the clothes on her back and a small stipend for transportation.

This ministry provides a backpack filled with the basics for personal care, food and a hand-written note from a member of the community.

Thank you to our donors and volunteers! Two dozen backpacks were blessed on Palm Sunday and will arrive at Chicopee Women’s Correctional Facility today! Our next filling is April 24th at 3pm, hope to see you there!

THANK YOU!! Because of your generosity, we were able to fully fund gifts for 10 children through the Franklin County Jail’s Angel Tree program! ❤️ Any additional donations will now go toward purchasing books for incarcerated individuals — a gift of knowledge and hope.
We have two big backpack-packing efforts coming up:
📅 Dec 12 — 24 backpacks for women
📅 Dec 14 — 24 backpacks for men, for the first time ever, with the help of the Jail’s cadet program
