We announced last week that the money raised by our connect group a few years ago, has been put to use this week drilling FIVE WELLS in Africa. Here is a copy of an email update I received yesterday along with some pictures.

As you read this, understand this project would not be done if not for your giving.

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to update you; we were able to head to Tanga on Wednesday. We set up on our first village and began drilling yesterday. We drilled to 32 meters and have lots of water. Today we hope to have it completed and move to our next village which is only 2km away!
I've attached a few pictures of the drilling and of the village. This village is in desperate need of clean water. The water hole they currently get water in, is as dirty as the water you see in the bucket and on top of that there are crocodiles in the water, which poses a real threat to the villagers, mostly women and children who go to collect water. I saw women getting water out of the ruts that my truck made in the mud, because it's closer and less hazardous than the water hole!
Thank you so much for partnering with us to make a difference in these villagers and to show the love of Jesus! We are working with a local pastor who plans on doing ministry in these villages. And because of this water project he as well as the rest of our team has been warmly welcomed in this Muslim village!
