🔥 Happy Lag B’Omer! 🔥

Great energy and good vibes all around… we enjoyed a kumzitz with the amazing Billy Jonas, celebrated the birthdays of two dear community members, welcomed visitors and returning snowbird congregants, watched the children play gleefully, enjoyed a delicious cookout with salads and sides, and shared blessings and good wishes on this auspicious day.

Thank you to Osher and Lior for helping cook with generous spirit and heart, to Cindy for the delicious brownies, to our amazing Grillmaster Gabriel, to the Chabad Security Team for their dedication to our safety, to Resa and Lisa for beautiful flowers, and to everyone who contributed. A special thank you to Stacy, Theresa, and Lani for capturing these beautiful photos!

Grateful for a beautiful community. You all turned an ordinary Tuesday into a memorable Lag B’Omer celebration 💙

What a night of Simcha, positivity, and community!

Thank you to every person in these Purim 2026 photos who came together to contribute, volunteer, sponsor, celebrate, and unite as one, so that --- our entire community can fulfill the 4 Mitzvot of Purim, and celebrate the most joyous holiday on the Jewish calendar together.

This past week, thousands of Chabad Rebbetzins from around the world gathered for the annual Women’s Convention. Representing communities from every corner of the globe, it was an honor to sit among some of the most special women in the world.

We came with one heart, carrying one shared mission: to bring kindness, warmth, inclusion, connection, community, and Yiddishkeit to our corner of this earth. We listened, learned, and shared, with lots of honesty, laughter and tears. We explored new ideas, new tools, and the “latest and greatest” materials, including the awesome pushka we used today at Torah & Tea — coins readily available, wow!

We celebrated Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneersohn, whose dignity, quiet strength, wisdom, and caring continue to inspire our daily work. We stood together in prayer at her gravesite on the occasion of her Yahrtzeit, feeling both the weight and the privilege of this sacred responsibility.

Last Shabbat we looked forward to being in NY, and this one we are looking forward to being in Asheville with our dear community. Candle lighting tomorrow in the WNC area is at 5:52 PM. May our collective light ignite the darkness of night!

Shabbat Shalom to one and all 🤍 🤍🤍

As we head tonight into 2026, we find ourselves thinking less about resolutions and more about the basics.

At the CHS Family Chanukah party, surrounded by children, candles, music, games, laughter, songs, and homecooked dinner, the message was crystal clear…

Basics is always Best!

👇Sharing photos of 26 moments.

Not of resolutions — but of foundations!

Because from these foundations of back to the basics, we are poised to move forward into a year of success.

🥳 Wishing our readers a happy and healthy 2026, filled with many moments of pride, purpose, joy, friendship, unity, and community!

💙 👛💅🏻This holiday has a feminine heartbeat, and we celebrated it at Torah and Tea, Chanukah Edition!

Over hot drinks, homemade latkes and donuts, and meaningful learning, we shaped our own light, literally rolling Chanukah candles to take home.

Unlike Shabbat candles which are lit while light outside, we spoke about the mitzvah of kindling the menorah which is done at nightfall. We reflected on the lesson that the moment darkness appears, that’s when precisely we answer with light.

A heartfelt thank you to Alison, Barbara, Dee, and Theresa for sponsoring and making it possible, and to all the ladies who added to the pushka and shared tzedakah for Bondi Beach, holding them close in our hearts.

Each woman received a menorah kit to “menorah it forward” - to expand the circle of light in our community.

Happy Chanukah from the Jewish Women’s Circle and Torah and Tea, WNC. Our ladies illuminate the night! 🕎

🕎 Happy Chanukah, day number 3 🕎

We've been obsessed with olives! 🫒 🫒

-- We harvested them.
-- We crushed them.
-- We pressed them.
-- We talked about them endlessly.

Because how else do you teach children that from something so small—and so squeezed—comes the purest of oil that can light up the darkest of nights?!

With air-dry clay, we built our menorahs from stones; resembling the very stones that the Maccabees had to climb over while searching the Holy Temple to find that 1 sealed jug of *pure oil* to light the Menorah. We then filled our DIY menorahs with tiny holy-temple artifacts; building an entire menorah around our history and heritage.

This is how miracles are made — one olive, one child, one choice, and a lot of squeezing, by one person, on a mission, to Create Light, one day at a time. 🕯️ 🫒 🕎 💡
