We are living in challenging times. Across the United States, many families are feeling the strain as national food programs face interruptions and government assistance stalls. Every day, we see people reaching out for help just to put food on the table.
It’s time for us to respond with love in action.
🌟 Introducing the “Horn of Plenty” Project
We’ve launched the Horn of Plenty initiative to help alleviate food insecurity by providing grocery store gift cards directly to anyone in need — no questions asked.
At Jesus People Church of Asheville, compassion and service have been at the heart of our ministry for over 15 years. We’ve raised funds for hurricane victims (including recent efforts in Jamaica), offered $100 grants during the COVID lockdowns, and even helped rescue and resettle an Afghan refugee during the Taliban takeover.
As an affirming church led by an LGBTQIA+ pastor, we proudly embrace diversity and inclusion. Our partnerships span across the United States, ensuring that your generosity reaches people wherever the need arises — not just in Asheville, North Carolina.
💛 100% Goes to Those in Need
Every dollar raised for Horn of Plenty goes directly to those facing food insecurity. Our church takes no administrative fees, salaries, or overhead from this project. What you give is what someone in need receives — in full.

This mission is open to everyone, regardless of background, belief, or identity. We offer assistance to anyone affected by these difficult times — because hunger knows no boundaries, and neither does compassion.

We’ve set an initial goal of $1,000 per month, but with your kindness, we believe we can go far beyond that — and keep this project running until government aid is restored.
