IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
(****This is a long post, please read it all and see the “Next Steps” section at the end as well as the link to a letter from Pastor Terry.)

It is with heavy heart that we are announcing the dissolution of Paradigm Church. To many who are not familiar with the inner deliberations, this may seem like a sudden and capricious decision. In reality, it has been a possibility the elders and I have wrestled with continually and prayerfully for more than 10 months. In September of last year, I (Terry Hollifield) sustained a brain injury that has been and continues to be incredibly difficult and lasting in effect. In my absence, the other elders as well as many members of the Paradigm family mustered very well and some (including the elders) to the point of exhaustion. This February I returned to pastoring full time with the clearance of my neurologist and vestibular therapist. Time has shown that decision to be premature as by May we saw that I would not be able to sustain the pace and scope that pastoring requires. Many of the symptoms I had experienced during the acute period of my brain injury resurfaced and were increasing.

For that reason, I recently I asked for an indefinite sabbatical of healing in which I could totally step away from ministry and (LORD willing) allow brain time to heal. This was lovingly granted to me by the elders and the folks of Paradigm. Again, this was a possibility we knew may come. However, as the reality of my indefinite and possibly permanent absence from being Lead Pastor, it became clear that with me out and the elders as well as other leaders already stretched to the brink, there would not be a way to appropriately shepherd the souls God had entrusted to us. After much prayerful and agonizing deliberation over these months and in light of my recent slide backwards in health, we determined that the best way to honor the LORD and steward the souls entrusted to us was to lovingly help them join with other Gospel-centered and biblically sound church families where they could grow and serve.

**NEXT STEPS FOR FOLKS WHO WERE PART OF PARADIGM:
Over the next several months the elders will host a weekly mid-week gathering in homes where the folks who were part of Paradigm can continue to process this transition and just spend time together. They will also be conducting visitations to various local congregations to help people find new church families to be part of, as well as provide personal counsel where it is desired. We invite you to read the attached letter that I wrote to the Paradigm family expressing my personal thoughts about the years God has blessed us to be Paradigm Church as well as the days ahead.

Family, this is a very timely message as we seek to discern our path thus far and the path ahead.The individual pieces of our lives often don't make sense. They may appear broken and incongruent when "in" them. Thankfully a Master is at work. And when viewed from the proper perspective all the collected things in our lives intricately and beautifully merge to the glory of the Artist.

This Sunday at 10am we will encounter the single moment that led to the rescue of the Israelite people from Egyptian slavery. GOD reveals His personal name to Moses and promises deliverence. And in that name the people will be set free, and in that name you may be set free also. We hope you'll join us as we learn from Exodus chapter 3.

"GET READY!!" It's something we often don't like to hear. It means things are about to change and there is something we must go through before it gets here. This week we will learn how God chose to deliver His people by raising up a man. But first He had to prepare that man for the task ahead.

This Sunday we begin a new exploration through the book of EXODUS. The theme is "Already - Not Yet: Life in Transition". Do you know what it's like to be in transition from one situation in life to another? That's life in general, right? Times of transition can be extremely difficult. Thankfully, we have an account of an entire nation of people going through unimaginably difficult transition from freedom and prosperity into total bo***ge and suffering. God has a lot to teach us about Himself and ourselves through this study!! Hope to see you Sunday at 10am.

Here's a wake-up call: There is a very real battle going on; a battle that is truly for the hearts and minds of us all. It is cosmic in scope and immanent in threat. It is a battle that rages in the unseen world of the spiritual but the repercussions are quite visible all around us. If we are going to "Live Well", then we must learn to live well AT WAR! See you Sunday at 10am as we get instruction from Ephesians 6:10-20.

Man, this is going to tick some people off!
We have learned thus far in this series that God's definition of "living well" is quite often different than our own. This is nowhere more true than in the areas of marriage, family, and work. But truthfully, His way is the only way that actually leads to living well.
