Know All Men By These Presents - That The Vets For Christ

Believes that the Bible is God's Holy Word, verbally and fully inspired in the original text, and that it is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. Believes that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Believes in God the Father, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measu

reless in power. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Christ. Believes in Jesus Christ, the divine, eternal and only begotten Son of God. We believe that in His earthly life He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin and lived a sinless life. We believe in His vicarious and atoning death for the sins of the world. We believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of the Father to make intercession for the saints, and in His personal, visible return to the world in power and glory. Believes in the Holy Spirit, in His personality and deity, that He was sent forth from the Father to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. We believe that He is come to regenerate, indwell, sanctify, instruct and comfort the saints. Believes that all men are, by nature and by choice, sinners, destitute of all power to save themselves. We believe, therefore, that the only means of salvation of sinful men is the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit on the basis of the atoning work of Christ through personal faith in Christ. We believe in the resurrection of all men, those that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation. Believes in the Church --- the living spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the Head and of which all regenerated persons are members. We believe that the Lord laid upon the Church the task of persuading a lost and sinful world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as Lord and Master in their lives. We believe that a web-based church on the internet is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, and associated for worship, work, fellowship, and ministry to one another and others. Believes that all Christians are ordained by the Holy Spirit to spread the Gospel of Christ. Believes it is the primary duty of all Christians to serve as evangelists, and to minister to others according to the gifts they have received of the Holy Spirit. Believes that the Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest gift of God the Father and His Holy Spirit, and should be the primary message of the Christian church, taking precedence over all differences, whether they be theological, denominational, ideological, or physical in nature.

Over the weekend, I heard someone complain that Veteran’s Day should always fall on a Monday so that we can all have a three-day weekend. They might not have realized that Veteran’s Day is specifically observed on November 11th for a reason. Originally called Armistice Day, it was meant to not only commemorate the end of World War 1, but to memorialize the exact time the great guns all along the Western Front fell forever silent: It was at 11 am on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.

In a world that increasingly opts for convenience over meaning, I’m glad we haven’t moved this day for the sake of an extended weekend. Here’s wishing all veterans the honor and respect they are due…tomorrow, today and every day.

I found this post and I was led to share it, it is a very good read.

Satan is not opposed to good morals.

He’s opposed to Jesus Christ.

Read that again because most Christians miss this completely.

Satan doesn’t care if you’re a “good person.” He doesn’t care if you volunteer at the food bank, recycle your trash, and help old ladies cross the street. He doesn’t care if you’re kind, generous, and well-liked by everyone in your community.

He cares that you don’t bow the knee to Jesus.

Here’s the deception that’s damning millions:

Satan has convinced people that morality equals spirituality. That being a “good person” is the same as being a Christian. That if you just live right, treat people well, and avoid the “big sins,” you’re acceptable to God.

This is a lie straight from the pit of hell.

The Pharisees had impeccable morals. They followed the law meticulously. They were respected, disciplined, and religiously devoted.

Jesus called them children of the devil.
Why? Not because their morals were bad. Because their morals replaced Christ.
Satan’s greatest trick isn’t making bad people worse. It’s making good people think they don’t need a Savior.

Think about it:

The atheist who feeds the homeless thinks he’s good enough without God.

The Buddhist who meditates and practices compassion thinks she’s enlightened without Christ.

The Muslim who prays five times daily thinks he’s righteous without Jesus.

The moral Christian who goes to church, pays his tithe, and avoids scandal thinks he’s saved without surrender.

All of them are headed to the same place: eternal separation from God.

Because morality doesn’t save. Jesus saves.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Satan loves moral people who reject Jesus. They’re his best advertisement for the lie that you can earn your way to heaven.

They’re living proof that you can:

•Be kind without Christ
•Be generous without God
•Be disciplined without the Holy Spirit
•Be respected without redemption

And still be lost.

The most dangerous people in hell won’t be the murderers and rapists. They’ll be the moral, upstanding citizens who thought their goodness was good enough.

Their morals became their idol. Their goodness became their god.

And Satan smiled because he’d accomplished his goal: Keep them from Jesus.

Here’s what most Christians don’t understand:

Satan doesn’t need to make you do bad things. He just needs to keep you from doing the ONE thing that matters: surrendering to Christ.

If he can get you to:

•Trust your morals instead of Christ’s sacrifice

•Rely on your goodness instead of God’s grace

•Believe in your works instead of Jesus’ finished work

He’s won.

You can live a moral life and still die lost. You can be a good person and still face judgment. You can avoid all the “big sins” and still end up separated from God forever.
Because the only sin that damns you eternally is rejecting Jesus Christ.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36

Not the murderer who repents and believes in Christ is damned.

Not the thief who turns to Jesus on the cross is damned.

Not the pr******te who washes Jesus’ feet with her tears is damned.

The moral, religious person who rejects Christ is damned.

That’s why Satan loves morality without Jesus. It sends people to hell with a smile on their face, convinced they were good enough.

Stop trusting your morals. Start trusting Jesus.

Your goodness won’t save you. Your works won’t redeem you. Your morality won’t justify you.

Only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away your sin and make you acceptable to a holy God.

Everything else is just Satan’s distraction from the one thing that actually matters.

Some years ago, my son called me on a Sunday morning and asked if he could go to church with us. Emphatically, I said, “Yes!!” I could barely hear him on the phone as he whispered, “What should I wear?” In the most loving way I could, I responded, “Whatever you want to wear. It doesn’t matter as long as you go to church with me.”
You see, my son wasn’t saved and he would never go to church with me when I asked. He had long hair, a scruffy beard and tattoos all the way down his arms, even on his fingers.
He rode to church with us that Sunday, it was a day I’ll never forget. He was wearing a long-sleeved button-down shirt to cover his tattoos because of the shame that church people had made him feel.
As my husband parked the car, the Lord spoke to me and said, “When you go in, make sure your son sits between you and your best friend.” Although I was a little puzzled at why the Lord would give me such instructions, I didn’t question Him. When we sat down, my son was beside her and, immediately she starting loving on him the way she loves on everyone. She told him how awesome his tattoos were and asked who did them. When he told her that he had done them, she gasped and made him feel even more at ease as she told him what a wonderful artist he was.
As the service started with the praise and worship, I heard the Lord speak to me again. “Today, your son will be saved. When the preacher goes to the pulpit, your son will go down and be saved.” I immediately started crying uncontrollably. I knew the Lord was about to answer years and years of pleading and praying for my son. When the preacher stepped behind the pulpit, he said, “There is a young man here today that the Lord is speaking to. He wants you to do business with Him right now. You need to come to the altar now!” I felt my son nudge me so he could get out of the pew. I grabbed my husband’s arm and we moved out of his way. This mama couldn’t even go to the altar with him. The isle was as far as I could make it. All I could do was praise my sweet, sweet Lord for answering years and years of prayers.
That day, my husband, my friend and the preacher led my son to the Lord. That day, his name was written in The Lamb’s Book of Life. That day, all of heaven rejoiced. That day, I heard and I saw the Lord at work. I will eternally be grateful for a dear, dear friend that did not judge my son for the tattoos on his skin or the clothes he was wearing or the length of his hair but instead showed him the love of God that he had been searching for.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not make people coming to church feel shame for what they are wearing, for the tattoos that they have, for the piercings they have or anything else that YOU deem as inappropriate. The Lord sees them. You don’t know how long a mama or grandma or daddy or granddaddy or friend or someone else has been praying for their salvation. The words you say can either draw them near to the Lord or push them away. I would hate to be the one who pushed someone away from the Lord because of the way I felt about how their appearance was. When God does a work on their heart, I promise you that you will see everything about them change. Let God do what He does! Your job is to love, not to condemn.

If a pr******te comes in the church, she’s probably going to dress like a pr******te until the Lord touches her and changes her. If a drunkard walks in the church, they may smell like alcohol until the Lord touches them and changes them. If a drug addict walks in the church, he or she may be high on drugs. Sinners are probably going to be living in sin when they walk in the church. Just love them to Jesus. I’m not saying you have to condone anything that is not of God, but you better watch how you treat them. The Lord sees and hears you!!

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
