"The cross removed from every human creature any possible grounds on their part of standing in the divine presence with something in their hands. The ground level is at the foot of the cross; not a single thing that any of us possesses will advantage him/her before the living God – not brilliance, “clout,” achievement, money, or prestige. It is all – “trust Him completely” – or nothing."
PERIOD!
(Gordon D Fee - The First Epistle to the Corinthians)

Pastor Jerry continues teaching from the book of Esther. From studying the scriptures, this story is not as neat and tidy as we would like it to be. Not everything is black and white.

Pastor Jerry resumes the series in the book of Esther. King Xerxes commanded his wife Queen Vashti to be paraded in front of him and a bunch of drunk men. She refused. He got furious. How are husbands to treat their wives. Scripture has some important biblical guidelines.

Every once in a while we get a letter that brings me great joy. This letter came from an inmate at the local prison where Crestview and several other prison-supporting churches fed inmates and staff (close to 300) Thanksgiving and Christmas meals- plus gave each one Christmas gift bags. I also want to thank the folks on Facebook that sent $$$ for prison ministry. You did more than liked a post… you made a difference!

There’s a lady that started coming to Crestview in the spring of 2023. She has been dealing with alcoholism most of her adult life and drug addiction for several years. Crestview has welcomed her as part of the family, loved her, and supported her. It has been SO WONDERFUL to see her being transformed right before our eyes. She just sent this to several Crestview folks a few minutes ago:

“This is the first New Year's Eve since I can't remember when that I WON'T be drinking. Thank Jesus. Praise the Lord. Happy New Years Eve to all my church family. I love y'all.🙏💜”

Looking forward to more transformed lives at Crestview in 2024!

Elizabeth - the mother of John the Baptist and Mary - the mother of Jesus weren't randomly chosen by God for this amazing blessing. They were choose-able. There's much to learn from them.
