Which Team Are You On?

I write to you today with a simple but urgent question: Which team are you on?

In this life there are only two teams. There is no middle ground and no neutral side. You are either on Team Jesus or on Team Satan. Jesus Himself declared, “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad” (Matthew 12:30). The choice is clear, and every soul must decide.

Team Satan offers temporary pleasure and empty promises, but his end is destruction. He comes “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10). Those who refuse the light and continue in sin are following him, whether they admit it or not.

But there is another team—Team Jesus—and the benefits of belonging to Him are beyond measure.

On Team Jesus you receive the free gift of eternal life. The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). And again, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

On Team Jesus your sins are fully forgiven. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Through His blood we have “the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7).

On Team Jesus you are given a peace the world cannot give. Jesus promised, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

On Team Jesus you find strength for every trial. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). And “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

On Team Jesus a place is prepared for you in heaven. Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2).

And on Team Jesus you have already overcome the enemy, “because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

Friend, the choice is before you this very day. Team Satan leads to eternal loss. Team Jesus leads to forgiveness, peace, strength, and everlasting life.

“Choose you this day whom ye will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15).

I urge you—turn to Jesus. Repent of your sins, believe the gospel, and join His team while there is still time.

I write to you with a heavy heart concerning a grievous matter that the Word of God plainly condemns: the sin of betrayal and the failure to remain faithful. These are no light things in the sight of the Lord, for they strike at the very heart of covenant, trust, and love.

The Scriptures declare that betrayal is an abomination. Consider the solemn words spoken of Judas Iscariot, who betrayed the Son of God with a kiss: “The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born” (Matthew 26:24). Such is the weight of treachery in the eyes of God.

Unfaithfulness is likewise denounced throughout the holy Writ. The Lord Himself is faithful and true, and He calls His people to walk in the same manner. “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent” (Proverbs 28:20). Again it is written, “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2). To break faith—whether in marriage, friendship, vows, or service unto God—is to walk contrary to the character of the One who never fails.

The prophet Jeremiah records the Lord’s own grief over such sin: “For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water” (Jeremiah 2:13). Betrayal of the Lord or of one another is a forsaking of the true and a turning to that which cannot satisfy.

King David, himself betrayed by close companions, cried out: “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me” (Psalm 41:9). Yet even in that pain he looked unto the Lord for help. The New Testament likewise warns: “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good” (Romans 12:9). And again, “Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds” (Colossians 3:9).

Beloved, if these sins have found place in your life—or if you have suffered under the hand of the unfaithful—know that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth from all sin (1 John 1:7). Confession and repentance are the path of restoration: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Therefore, let us examine ourselves. Let us put away every form of deceit, every broken promise, every act of treachery. Let us walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called, “with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:1–3).

May the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

I write to encourage you in the faith, that we might walk worthy of the calling wherewith we are called. The Lord has placed upon our hearts the charge to be humble, to do that which is right at all times, and to live as Christians not only when others see us, but in every moment—because Someone is always watching.

Scripture is clear that humility is the posture God requires of His people. The prophet Micah declares, “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah 6:8). James likewise exhorts us, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up” (James 4:10). Pride lifts itself up and is brought low; humility bows low and is exalted by the hand of God. Let us therefore esteem others better than ourselves, and walk in lowliness of mind.

Doing the right thing is not a matter of convenience or public approval. It is the daily obedience of a heart that fears the Lord. “To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice” (Proverbs 21:3). And the apostle Paul reminds us, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men” (Colossians 3:23). Whether the task is great or small, seen or unseen, we are called to do it as unto Christ Himself. Let us not grow weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not (Galatians 6:9).

Above all, we are to be Christians at all times. There is no place where the believer may lay aside his testimony. “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good” (Proverbs 15:3). Nothing is hidden from Him: “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do” (Hebrews 4:13). Because God sees every thought, word, and deed, we are constrained to live consistently—before men and when alone—so that our light may shine and glorify our Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

May these truths settle deep in your heart. Walk humbly. Do right continually. Live as a Christian without interruption, knowing that the Lord Himself is watching. In so doing you will honour Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.

I write to you today with a heart full of joy to share the most precious truth found in the Holy Scriptures: the salvation, peace, and love that come from accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. These are not mere words of men, but the living promises of God, given in the King James Version of His Word.

First, consider the great love of God toward us. The Bible declares:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

And again:

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

We were all separated from God by sin, for “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Yet in His infinite love, God sent His Son to die in our place, rising again the third day, that we might be reconciled to Him.

Salvation is the free gift of God, received by faith. Scripture says:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

How is this gift received? The Word is clear:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10)

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved (Acts 16:31). When you turn from sin, trust in His finished work on the cross, and receive Him as Lord and Savior, you are born again into everlasting life.

With this salvation comes a peace the world cannot give. Jesus Himself promised:

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)

And the apostle Paul wrote:

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)

This is not a temporary calm, but a deep, abiding rest in the soul that comes from knowing you are forgiven, accepted, and held secure in Christ.

Finally, this salvation fills the heart with the love of God. “We love him, because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19). The same love that sent Christ to the cross is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5). In Him we learn to love God and to love one another with a pure heart, for “God is love” (1 John 4:8).

Dear friend, if you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I urge you today: believe on Him with all your heart. Confess Him with your mouth. Call upon His name, for “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

May the God of all grace grant you this salvation, fill you with His peace that passeth understanding, and pour out His perfect love into your heart. And may you walk in the joy of knowing Him all the days of your life.

I write to you in the fear of the Lord and with a burden for your soul, concerning two matters of eternal weight: the sin of lying, and the far greater peril of not accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.

The Word of God is clear that lying is an abomination in the sight of the Lord. Proverbs 12:22 declares, “Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.” The ninth commandment forbids it plainly: “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour” (Exodus 20:16). Scripture further warns that the devil is “a liar, and the father of it” (John 8:44). All who practice this sin stand under the solemn judgment recorded in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Yet as serious as the sin of lying is, there is a still greater danger. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). No amount of self-reformation or good works can cleanse the heart or remove the guilt of sin. Salvation is found in one Person alone. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). The apostles testified, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

God’s love is set before us in these words: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Yet the same passage also declares the consequence of unbelief: “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18).

To refuse or neglect the Lord Jesus Christ is to remain under condemnation. Lying is one expression of the sinful nature; rejecting the Saviour is the refusal of the only remedy God has provided. The invitation of Scripture is urgent and free: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31). Confess Him as Lord, receive Him by faith, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin (1 John 1:7).

I urge you, therefore, to examine yourself before God. Turn from every false way, including the sin of lying, and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord without delay. “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

May the Spirit of God grant you light and grace to believe.

2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

I wanted to share with you the profound significance of the Beatitudes found in Matthew 5:1-12. These teachings of Jesus hold timeless truths that reveal the heart of God's kingdom and offer guidance on how we should live as His followers.

The Beatitudes begin with Jesus blessing those who are poor in spirit (Matthew 5:3), recognizing their humility and dependence on God. He declares, "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." This reminds us that true blessedness comes not from worldly wealth or status but from humility and recognizing our need for God's grace.

Jesus continues to bless those who mourn (Matthew 5:4), promising comfort, which illustrates that even in sorrow, God's comfort is near: "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." This encourages us to find hope in God's promise during difficult times.

The Beatitudes also highlight the virtues of meekness (Matthew 5:5), righteousness (Matthew 5:6), mercy (Matthew 5:7), and purity of heart (Matthew 5:8). Each of these qualities reflects the character of Christ and is essential for building a life aligned with God's will.

Furthermore, Jesus pronounces blessings on the peacemakers (Matthew 5:9), emphasizing that they shall be called the children of God. This underscores the importance of promoting peace and reconciliation in our relationships, mirroring God's peace with us.

The Beatitudes conclude with blessings for those persecuted for righteousness' sake (Matthew 5:10), assuring us that "great is your reward in heaven" when we endure hardship for Christ's sake. This encourages steadfastness and faithfulness in our walk with God.

The Beatitudes serve as a blueprint for Christian character and conduct. They reveal that true blessedness is rooted in humility, righteousness, mercy, purity, and perseverance—values that reflect the nature of Jesus Himself. As we meditate on these teachings, we are reminded of our calling to embody these qualities and to seek the kingdom of heaven above all.

May we strive to live out these blessings daily, trusting in God's promises and reflecting His love to others.
