This baptism was such a special, full-circle moment. Cynthia has known me since I was a teenager. I remember her asking me back then to pray that her son would have the same fire for God that we had. As the years went on, the request never changed
“please keep praying for my son.”
Then his precious wife ”please pray for my husband”
About three years ago, we went out just to plant seeds. We didn’t see it all then, but God was moving. Then a couple of weeks ago, Jr reached out to my husband and said he was ready to fully commit his life to Jesus and be baptized!
Even as a ministry, there were moments where we felt like we had failed. It had been a while since we’d seen something like this, and we started questioning if we were even doing the right thing. But right in that place of doubt, he reached out and said he was ready to be baptized. God reminded us that He is always working even when we can’t see it.
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9
I want to encourage every parent, spouse, sibling anyone who has been praying, believing, and sowing seeds don’t give up. Even when you can’t see it, God is working.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise… He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9
God is always on time, and He never fails.
“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” Psalm 126:5
I’m so thankful for this family and for God trusting us to pour into them. What a beautiful reminder that every prayer matters, every seed counts, and God is faithful to finish what He starts. 🤍
