***Help! Homeless family in need of assistance*** While you and I were resting in our warm homes last night, there was a family concerned about being evicted from a hotel room today that has a portable heater because the heat went out. I received a call at 7:53am this morning from a mother in distress. She thought she had financial support to make it through Thanksgiving at the hotel they were placed in but the help that was promised didn’t come through. This means that at 11am this morning she will have to take to her car with her children to live with their belongings if she isn’t able to come up with what is needed to extend to Friday of this week. While resources are challenged for a number of persons, we (Ignite Church and its community partners) have been answering the call to serve our community. Unfortunately resources are low to non existent for many of our community partners. However I feel compelled to help this mother and her family get through the next couple of days. Will you help us help them remain in this hotel until Friday while they recover from some very traumatic conditions? We will partner with social services and other community agencies in hopes of landing them additional resources and or a place by the end of this week. If you would help us serve this family, I am sure this mother would be more than appreciative as she is left to figure this out along with managing the traumas surrounding their situation. Check out time is 11am today and we are trying to reach the remaining goal of $641 to make it to Friday. If you can help us by donating, we will go to the hotel and satisfy the bill by 11am with your help.
