Disobedience ends in unrest and PRIDE leads to unrest; This is what the LORD says: Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strenghth from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD. (Jeremiah 17: 5)
Before you disregard this, read it all.
Some believe casting the yoke aside and living in our own strength and wisdom or believe you can handle this better alone than you can with God. For whatever reason, you forgotten to rely on Him and start living in your own strength and knowledge, You trust your desires over His will. You think you know better than the Creator of all things. Believing your wisdom and what you can see rather than trusting His promises (His ways are not our ways). Allow your motions to lead your responses over the belief that He is working for your good. But you know more than our LORD.
If we consider this passage closely, we see that trusting in flesh/wisdom, even our own, leads our heart away from the LORD.
You now see pride as a dependence on self. When you don't accept the invitation of Jesus found in Matthew 11, you walk self absorbed in you own ability. As we are His children, He longs for us to lean heavily into Him. He wants to be your Strength, Wisdom, your Guide, you constant Help every step of the way.
In verse 7, He described those who humbly depend on Him as blessed.Set your pride aside, and put your confidence in Him. Not your self-righteous ways away. Consider the unrest of pride of trusting in yourself. Ask yourself whose strength and knowledge are you depending on, your own or God's.

Good morning LORD! Thank You for all the blessings and provisions in my life. Dear Father God, Today let my heart meditate on the words your angel spoke in Luke 2:11-12. It tells us how the Savior was born and he came into this world as a baby. Even then in that vulnerable form, He was born the messiah. During Christmas and New Year season we can feel vulnerable to the pain and loss we may be going through, may we find strength and peace knowing that Jesus came down to earth to rescue us. There will be a day where no pain or tears can reach us and it will be your perfect love pouring down on us. We praise you Lord for being the savior of our lives. In Jesus’ name Yeshua HaMashiach I pray, Amen.

Dear Lord, I want more of you in my life. Help me to hear your voice in my day to day routine. Let your voice become the soundtrack of my heart, resounding louder than all other competing sounds. Is there something you want me to hear today? Speak to me Lord and I will listen to your words. In Jesus’ name Yeshua HaMashiach, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your generous giving Spirit. Because of You great Love for us, for me, You gave. Because of Your loving Generous Spirit within me, I can in turn love and give generously. Please show me the ways You want me to give. Open my eyes to the opportunities around me, whether it is to give a hot meal in the name of JESUS, comfort those who mourn, encourage those who are sick and suffering, donate to meet a need, or any other opportunity. Please help us all to see and prompt us to act. May I allow Your love to shine through me to touch a life for JESUS, in whose Holy name I pray. LORD, We praise You in this season where we celebrate You coming down to Earth. Open our eyes to Your presence in our lives. May we use this time to refocus our hearts on your love. Fill us with your Holy Spirit so that our cup overflows and we cannot help but shout Your Praises to those around us. Thank You for the blessing that is Christmas. In JESUS', HaMashiach name I pray, Amen.

Dear Wise and Holy Father, Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to help me. You knew that I would need strength in my weakness. You knew I would need help in every area of my life, to face daily challenges as well as tragedies in life, to overcome temptation, to stand strong and serve You, to have faith, to understand Your Word, to solve problems, to live for You daily. Thank You for sending the Helper to guide me, to give me strength for living, and to comfort me in times of sorrow. Your Holy Spirit truly is my Helper. "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of Your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen" (Ephesians 4:29). Father, I read this verse this morning and was reminded of how important it is to "be careful little mouths what You say" as that children's song goes. Please forgive me of being guilty at times of not letting the most encouraging and beneficial things come out of my mouth. Please give me strength and wisdom through Your Spirit to think before I speak. I want the words that come from me to be words of truth, words of light, words that are appropriate for the moment and the person or people who hear them. I want those words to be honoring to You and instructional, inspirational, motivational, encouraging to others. I want to be one who supports others in whatever it is they need, so that they are lifted up and motivated to reach their potential...to Glorify You...to be blessed and be a blessing. Thank You for hearing me, LORD JESUS. Thank You for Your forgiveness and Your light. In the name of JESUS Yeshua HaMashiach, I come to You, Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, Oh, how I praise You LORD! You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. You count the number of the stars and call them all by name. Great are You, LORD, and mighty in power. Your understanding is infinite. You lift up the humble, and cast the wicked down to the ground. I praise You LORD, You who covers the heavens with clouds and prepares rain for the earth; You who makes grass to grow on mountains and gives food to beasts of the earth. Praise You LORD, the One whom I trust to heal my hurts and bind up my wounds...and provide my needs. Good morning, Father God. As I look forward to this day, I want to start by thanking You for all the many blessings You have given me. The little things I so often take for granted, like having food, clothing and shelter; being able to work; being able to get up out of the bed even. Keep me focused on what is important in life. Help me to sow good things in this world. If I’m not doing enough, or not doing all You want me to do, please remind CHRIST JESUS and guide me. I praise You, CHRIST JESUS, and give You the Glory, great things You have done. Bless You my LORD. In the name of JESUS, Yeshua HaMashiach our Saviour, I pray. Amen to the Father, Amen to the Son and Amen to the Holy Spirit.

Dear Omnipotent Father God, please, please give me an insatiable desire and thirst for JESUS, for Your Word, my Savior. Open my eyes that I may see myself as You see me, that I may see and love others from Your viewpoint, that You would be the absolute center and guiding light of my life. Refresh my daily walk that I may walk with You in quiet places, in heavenly places, and throughout all of life into eternity. Thank You, LORD, my source of life and comfort and being. Bless You, LORD. “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone,” Psalm 91:11-12. LORD, I beg of You and trust in You to command Your angels concerning every child in this world, that through Your Power and Your command guardian angels will be round about to protect them from harm and evil and to lift them up so that they will not strike their feet against stones or stumble and fall. Please keep watch over the little ones. Help them remain pure. Deliver those who have been oppressed and abused. Give them freedom and love, a family to care for them, friends to encourage them, and meet every need they have whether physical, mental/emotional or spiritual. Please give every child strength and power to overcome, touch them with healing, and guide them every step of the way, every day. May every one feel your loving embrace and know Your Love. In the name of JESUS, Yeshua HaMashiach I pray and trust, Amen.
