Shirley Christmon is a bridge-builder who crosses denominational, cultural, racial, and national boundaries to bring hope, healing, and the love of God to people from all walks of life. Whether ministering in her local community or traveling internationally, Shirley's passion is helping people discover the abundant life God has for them.
An ordained pastor, Shirley has devoted her life to encouraging people right where they are—especially during life's most difficult seasons. With compassion, wisdom, and discernment, she has a unique ability to look beyond the surface and speak directly to the heart. Her ministry is marked by prayer, practical encouragement, and a deep desire to see people experience freedom, healing, and renewed hope.
Raised in a family rich in ministry heritage, Shirley carries a strong passion for equipping future generations to serve God wholeheartedly. She is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping people apply biblical truth to everyday life. Central to her message is Hebrews 6:19: "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." This scripture serves as the foundation of her ministry and vision.
Having married and become a mother at a very young age, Shirley understands both the challenges and triumphs of life's journey. Through decades of ministry, raising a family, caring for loved ones, and walking with others through seasons of loss, restoration, and healing, she has gained a wealth of wisdom that inspires and encourages those seeking purpose, identity, and hope.
The passing of her beloved mother after 99 years of life ushered Shirley into a profound season of grief, healing, and self-discovery. Having also experienced the heartbreaking loss of a son and a daughter, she ministers from a place of deep compassion and understanding. Her testimony reminds people that grief and faith can walk hand in hand, and that hope remains a secure anchor even in life's fiercest storms.
Known for her warmth, humor, authenticity, and ability to connect with people from all backgrounds, Shirley believes that every person has value and purpose. Her heart is to see individuals and families anchored in God's love, strengthened through faith, and empowered to live victoriously regardless of life's circumstances.
Shirley is the proud mother of two living daughters and one living son. She is also blessed with thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, whose lives continue to be a source of joy and inspiration.
As founder of Anchored Life Ministries, Shirley is pursuing a vision to create spaces of healing, hope, prayer, discipleship, and community outreach. Through teaching, mentoring, prayer ministry, retreats, conferences, and practical support, she desires to help people find stability and strength through a life anchored in Jesus Christ.
Her vision is to see lives transformed, families restored, and communities strengthened through faith, practical support, and the healing love of God. Her prayer is simple: that people everywhere would discover the faithfulness of God, find healing for their hearts, and live anchored in hope.
