I don't know if it's summer or what, but I I'm feeling this right now. Two days ago I was feeling so on top of things and doing my mental superhero pose, and now I feel like I am absolutely SWAMPED for no other reason than the pressure I'm putting on myself.

Happy Pride month!
I'm a great example of why Pride is important.
Whenever I share photos of my amazing (and trans) husband Lucas - I lose followers.
Last time I lost 1,000 within a two-day period over a post celebrating his journey.

I get people telling me I'm gross, that they're disappointed in me, that they don't follow me to 'see that type of thing', that they just can't condone my lifestyle. Two years ago one of my posts went viral to the wrong people and I got threats so extreme I had to shut down my account for a few days to wait for it to blow over. I remember staying up until 3am trying to moderate comments and delete them before they could hurt anyone until I gave up and turned comments off completely.

And my husband - he looks at me with these eyes and he says, "You don't have to post about me if it hurts you."

That'll break your heart wide freaking open.

So I will show up on Pride month (and every day) to celebrate and be proud of us and him.

We're really just two boring, but SUPER CUTE, old people who like hanging out with our cats. There should be nothing controversial about that.
