Excommunication is a serious act of church discipline that must be taken when a Christian cuts themselves off from the Bride of Christ. When someone's heart is no longer aligned with God, and refuses to live according to Jesus' teachings, the church must respond with excommunication. The goal being: give this person a wake up call that their actions lead to death and hell, and encourage them to repent and seek the forgiveness of sin only found in Jesus Christ.

During our young adult retreat, our pastors bravely volunteered to try the world's NASTIEST soda!

Our Young Adult retreat has come to an end, and we are grateful to the Lord for an amazing weekend filled with fellowship, worship, and spiritual growth! 🙏

Throughout the retreat, the group dedicated time for devotionals, prayer, worship, and fellowship.

The group bonded during group outings to the lake and a hike through the woods. During the hike, they paused to study God's word and sing His praises. 🌲

Each evening saw time dedicated to biblical teaching on spiritual gifts and experiencing God. We are so grateful for Pastor Gilbert, a guest teacher who shared how the Lord has worked powerfully in his own ministry, encouraging us to trust in God's power and faithfulness! 📖

Gilbert also spent time praying over the group members in a powerful way that moved their hearts and brought spiritual growth.

Our prayer is that this retreat would produce lasting fruit in the lives of these young adults such as a deeper love for Christ, a desire to study His Word, a richer prayer life, and a renewed dedication to pursuing holiness. ✝️

First Artesia's Young Adult Group is off to the mountains on a spiritual retreat to experience God biblically! 🙌

During their time at Lake Arrowhead, the group will dedicate time for devotionals, prayer, singing praises, and fellowshipping with one another.

The Book of Hebrews says that God rewards those who diligently seek Him, so this retreat is meant to help the group seek after God by slipping away from the busyness of life. ✝

Please pray for the group as they seek to mature their spiritual lives and pray that this retreat bears much fruit in developing their faith and disciplines.

As Christians, we are called to serve others and love our neighbor, to be a light in this dark world. When we do this, we find that often times, our love is what wins others over to Christ, because in our loving them, they see the way Christ loves us!

Thank you to everyone who came to our final Movie Night! 🎬

The night started off interesting with an unexpected audio issue that delayed the movie 😅 but we are so grateful for all the patient families who bore with us! ❤️

It's always a blessing hosting our local community for fun family events like this and showing the love of Jesus to everyone! If you loved joining us for our summer events, we warmly invite you to keep on fellowshipping with us every Sunday and be part of our church family!

We have weekly morning and evening Sunday services at 9:30AM and 6:00PM. Nursery available for children ages 2 and under. During the school year, we also offer Children in Worship for those 3 to Kindergarten.
