We are changing our Church-Wide Prayer Gatherings from the first Wednesday of the month to the first Thursday of the month from 5-6pm in our Worship Center. We are calling these “Altar Gatherings” as we seek God simply through prayer and worship.
In all four Gospel accounts, Jesus enters the temple in Jerusalem with fiery zeal for His Father’s house. “My house, Jesus pointedly said, shall be a house of prayer for all nations!” As a church, we want to come into alignment and agreement with Jesus’ heart for his Father’s house. For us that place is THE ALTAR. Throughout the Bible, the altar was the place where the human and divine interacted, the place where heaven and earth intersected, where offerings and sacrifices were made, prayers and intercession were prayed, praise was lifted and God’s presence burned with holy fire among his people. The principal in the heart of God was for the altar in his house (tabernacle, temple and now PEOPLE) to perpetually burn with the holy fire morning, noon and night (Leviticus 6:13).
Come join us this Thursday as we seek God with great faith together!
With joy,
- Pastor Galen
