Our day started out with a visit to the “Patranato Beit Shalom”. This synagogue which shares its name with our synagogue is the largest in all of Cuba with over 100 families. We were honored to meet with one of the leaders of the synagogue and deliver gifts of medicine and other supplies.

We then visited the “Fuster House”, one of the premier artists of Havana who has turned an entire neighborhood into his artistic canvas.

The remainder of the day featured lunch at a unique “farm to table” house, a Cuban dance and percussion studio, and finally a music project designed to teach guitar to Cuban children.

One of the top things the Jewish Federation of Annapolis & the Chesapeake is working on is the physical security of Jews and Jewish institutions.
