Bible School at St Paul Lutheran Church is right around the corner. June 15-18
We are gearing up for a full week of Horsin around & Saddling up with Jesus. 🐎 🐎 We are excited to have Nazareth Lutheran Church from Armstrong joining us this year. Our camp counselors from Ingham Lake Bible Camp will be leading our kindergarten through 6th grade students. Shelly Pedersen will once again be teaching the preschoolers with a lot of creative ideas for Christian education & play. Many helpers and volunteers will be on hand to make the week go smoothly. Grateful for all those that have stepped up to help & donated food items.

Monday - start time 9:00-2:00pm
Lakota Fire Department will be on hand to provide the noon meal of scrambled eggs & French toast followed by meeting the fireman, sitting in their truck and spraying the water 😳

Tuesday- time will be 9:00-2:00pm
Noon lunch will be grilled hot dogs by Master Grillers Blake Berg & Scott Ellsworth and macaroni & cheese.
We invite community senior citizens to come eat & fellowship with the kids at noon. 🌭
Tuesday evening is Woman's Bible School starting at 5:45pm. Natalie Schmidt from The Joyful Bible Co will be providing a program & participants will be curating encouragement bibles. A light lunch will follow. Registration is necessary and there is a cost to attend.

Wednesday 9:00-2:00
A full day of learning Christian faith & friendship. Kathy Wibben will be providing pizza for all the students at noon 🍕 Rumor has it there may be some horses coming to Bible school on this day. 🐎 😲

Thursday * please note start time ‼️. 1:00 pm- 5:30 pm. ‼️
We will be walking to the Lakota Community Building where Lakota Librarian Sue Kearney and the Lakota Library have invited us to attend their special program by Professional Magician Jonathon May starting at 1:30. Following the show the kids will be treated to a Dirty Soda Bar 🥤
2:30 we will return to the church to finish our Bible school week as well as get ready for our program which will start at 5:30. We encourage all parents, family members, congregation and community members to attend this program, which will showcase songs and everything they have learned.

But WAIT ....there's more 🤔
Following the program the Kossuth County Calgary aka Kossuth County Deputies will be riding in to grill pork patties for all. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy live music, popcorn machine, soft serve ice cream. Corey Goeders from Pocahontas, IA will be on hand to give rides with his horse drawn wagon for kids accompanied by their parents around Lakota.

Dust off your boots, 🤠 grab your cowboy hats, and come and glorify the Lord to the fullest. 🙏 May we gather in praise and worship, lifting his name high with joyful hearts & thankful spirits. Ride on in and celebrate the goodness of God with us at St Paul Lutheran Church in Lakota.
Thank you to the family of Joyce Wentworth for the memorial, it will be used to pay for the Ingham Lake Camp Counselors for this week. 🙏

Solar Panel Project Update

We wanted to share an update on the status of our church solar panel project. As expected, Alliant has been conducting a thorough assessment of the church property, the surrounding area, and our electrical capacity needs prior to approving the project. This is a normal part of the process and something we anticipated from the beginning.

We are pleased to report that Alliant has completed Levels 1–3 of their review process and is now requesting a supplemental review. They are required to provide us with the outcome of their findings by June 8.

Once we receive their response, we are hopeful that we will receive the go-ahead to move forward to the installation phase of the project.

We are anxious and excited, just like many of you, as we continue moving through this process. Thank you for your continued support and patience.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Kristin or any council member.
