Faith Bible Church
Statement of Faith

1. We believe all scripture was given by inspiration of God (2 Tim.3:16). We hold to the Authorized Version (King James) is the preserved, inerrant Word of God in the English language. We lift up the Word of God as our final authority (Ps.138:2)

2. We believe salvation is a gift of God, received by grace through faith. Based on Romans 10:9, the means for rec

eiving the gift of eternal life is by accepting Jesus Christ as oneโ€™s Lord and Savior, and by believing the gospel of Jesus Christ (He died on the cross for our sins, was buried and rose again from the third day proving His deity โ€“ 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Rom. 1:3-4)

3. WE believe in the eternal security of the believer. After receiving Jesus Christ, the believer is sealed by the Holy Spirit of God (Eph.1:13-14) and cannot lose his or her salvation (Rom.8:38-39).

4. We believe the Christian has the ability to communicate directly to the Lord God without any human mediator (1 Tim.2:5). It is through prayer that the believer reveals his or her faith and trust in God (Php.4:6).

5. We believe in the Holy Trinity. The Godhead is made up of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost (2 Cor.13:14; 1 John 5:7)

6. We believe the local church is Godโ€™s instrument in this age. The purpose of the local church is to prepare the members to participate in ministry and to propagate the mission (Eph. 4:12). We believe the local the local church is autonomous in that it is self-governing, self-supporting and self-propagating under the clear instruction of the apostle Paul for believers in this age (Gal.2:7-9)

7. We believe that baptism is an opportunity for the believer to give a public testimony of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, being an illustration of the gospel that they already received (Acts 16:32-33). We believe that the Lordโ€™s Supper is an opportunity for the believer to remember what the Lord did for him or her in sacrificing Himself on the cross for our sins (1 Cor.11:23-26). We do not believe that these tools of God are ordinances or sacraments that have saving or sanctifying power.

8. We believe that every Christian is a steward of what the Lord has entrusted to him or her. Thus, every believer determines before God how much he or she gives for the work of the ministry through personal offering (2 Cor.9:7).

9. We believe that every Christian is an ambassador for the Lord. Every believer has the responsibility to minister the truth of the gospel of grace to those that do not know the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Cor.5:18-20)

10. We believe that every Christian will give an account before God at the judgment seat of Christ (2 Cor.5:10). We will be judged for our works and receive rewards or suffer loss accordingly (1 Cor.3:11-15).

Prayers Appreciated ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

On Thursday June 4th, (the date of my spiritual birthday), I will be having my right knee replaced. My left knee also needs to be replaced but it is not bothering me as bad as the right knee.

After the surgery, I will be off work for at least two months and probably will be away from my church responsibilities at Faith Bible Church for two weeks. I still plan on posting my daily devotions and doing the weekly wisdom for the week. But I will not be doing any messages on Facebook live as my assistant pastor Curt Courtney will be preaching the word during that time. Thank you Curt๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

With this post, I have a picture of my KJV wide margin Bible with all my outlines and notes, my first original black belt in Karate-Do and my police badge. These three things truly represent what my life has been about over the last 37 years of my 57 years of living. As you can see, the Bible and belt have been through it and so have I with five previous surgeries on my right knee, one on my left knee and a full left hip replacement. But after them all, I kept doing these three things that characterizes my life, ministry, martial arts and law enforcement.

With that said, I greatly appreciate any and all prayers to literally get back on my feet as soon as possible in order to preach the word, train in karate and continue to work my night job at Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

2 Timothy 2:1-3 KJV
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. [2] And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. [3] Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!!!

Please join us at 10:00 AM or on my Facebook live page at 10:15 AM as we continue our 2026 vision for Faith Bible Church of rebuilding and renewing our walk with the Lord.

In this week's message, we will see the biblical significance of silver and gold as the Lord wants us to be vessels of honor set aside for His use.

Ezra 7:15-16 KJV
And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem, [16] And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:

2 Timothy 3:7 KJV
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

There is no doubt that we have been living in the information age for some time. In Daniel 12:4 it says knowledge will increase. But, we do not want to be like those in this verse. They are learning but not able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

There is a lot that can be said and understood about the knowledge we should have as believers as well as the knowledge of this world. We should know the word of God so well that we are able to filter what we hear in the world to see what is true and what is error. In all reality, I should be a diligent student of the word so I can easily identify error when I see and hear it.

On another note, the key word is learning (present tense). I should always be learning the word. I should never come to a place where I am satisfied with what I know. To not be learning in the word is to be stagnant in your growth with the Lord.

Help me Lord to always learn your word so I am not walking like those of this world.

Romans 15:4 KJV
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Philippians 4:9 KJV
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

As we continue in chapter seven and see Ezra's return to Jerusalem, he didn't return empty handed. Ezra had a copy of the letter from king Artaxerxes that gave him the authority to renew the service of the temple. Even more importantly, Ezra had the authority of the words of God in his hand.

If we are to accomplish anything for the Lord in this life, it will only be through the authority of the words of God in our hands. Today, we will see the importance of this truth.

Ezra 7:11-12 KJV
Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel. [12] Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.

Wisdom for the Week

Psalm 2:1-4 KJV
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? [2] The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, [3] Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. [4] He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

As we continue in chapter seven and see Ezra's return to Jerusalem, he didn't return alone. In today's message we see him return with six different groups of Jews that would play a part in the renewal of the service of the temple.

Each member in the body of Christ has a vital role in the purpose of God today under grace. Just like we see success with Ezra because he was prepared in the word of God, we need to do the same.

Ezra 7:7-10 KJV
And there went up some of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king. [8] And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king. [9] For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him. [10] For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

As we start chapter seven, we also start a new chapter for the Jews that returned from captivity. 58 years after the temple is rebuilt, Ezra returns to Jerusalem to reestablish the teaching of the law of Moses in Israel. Ezra was not only a priest but he was also a ready scribe in the word of God.

No matter what our occupation is or was, if you are retired, we all should be a ready student of the word in order to teach it to others.

Ezra 7:6 KJV
This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.

I have a request regarding my new book "Climbing Mountains" as well as my previous published book, "Having a Healthy Mind through the Mind of Christ." If you have read either book, please leave a review at Amazon and or Barns and Noble. If you haven't read them, I would encourage you to do so. They are both written in a format that I believe is easy to be understood. Both books can be applied to any believer no matter if you are new to Christianity or have been walking with the Lord for some time.

I would greatly appreciate you sharing this post with your family and friends as I believe both books can impact many lives for the Lord through his word. Thank you for you help.
