Anger. Abandonment. Anxiety.

What threads run through your story, shaping what you believe and how you show up in the world?

Our Confessional Communities offer a space to explore what’s hard to see on our own, so we can better understand ourselves and show up for others in the ways we truly desire.

VIP isn’t just about getting “extra perks.” It’s about creating more space for the conversations, relationships, and moments that stay with you long after the conference ends.

Join us in Baltimore for Connections Conference 2026. It’s three days of wisdom, meaningful connection, and an invitation to slow down long enough to remember what it means to be truly known.

Your VIP experience includes preferred seating throughout the conference and an intimate Thursday evening Connection with Curt gathering featuring deeper conversation, meaningful connection with fellow attendees, and light refreshments in a smaller setting designed for presence, reflection, and honest dialogue.

VIP guests will also receive a copy of Untangling Your Journey, Michelle Konson’s reflective companion journal created to help you engage the conference experience more deeply.

Only 50 VIP tickets are available.

If you’ve been longing for depth instead of noise, presence instead of performance, we’d love to welcome you to Baltimore.

If this is you, join us!! Link in bio.

You can work hard and stay stuck, or work hard and go free.

Healing costs something, but it’s always worth it. And the right community makes the hard work possible.

Who walks with you?

At the Center for Being Known, we’re here to help you find that kind of community, whether through Confessional Communities or our annual conference. Join us: https://www.thecbk.org/.

You can’t earn love.

At last year’s Connections Conference, Michael John Cusick reminded us that God is not transactional. There is no quid pro quo in the Kingdom of God. It’s all grace.

It was a powerful reminder that has stayed with us.

What wisdom is waiting for you at Connections ‘26? If you’re not signed up to join us, it’s not too late! https://www.thecbk.org/conferences/thewayofwisdom

Taking a moment today to remember this important truth shared at Connections ‘25 from conference speaker and CBK board member that God is wise and holy and knows our heart’s desires.

May you live into those desires today and always.

A couple weeks ago we launched our monthly newsletter. One of our favorite elements of the newsletter is sharing with you how we are being seen, formed and connected through our personal lives.

Following is why our marketing coordinator, recommended “Theo of Golden” by to our staff (and many others).

At its core, the story is about a quiet, mysterious man named Theo who enters a small town and, without fanfare or agenda, begins to notice people. Really notice them. Through simple, intentional acts, repairing what’s broken, paying attention to what others overlook, and engaging people with curiosity rather than assumption. In doing so, he changes the fabric of the community around him.

What struck me most is how transformation in the story doesn’t come through grand gestures or persuasive words, but through the steady practice of seeing and being seen.

It felt deeply resonant with the work of the Center for Being Known.

So much of what we’re learning together is that healing and growth don’t begin with fixing or performing—but with presence. With the courage to be known, and the compassion to know others. Theo embodies this in such a quiet, compelling way.

As I read, I found myself asking:
* Where might I be moving too quickly to truly see the person in front of me?

* What might change if I slowed down enough to notice?

If you’re looking for a story that gently invites you back into the practice of presence and the beauty of being truly with people, this one is worth your time.

What should our next read be?

An important aspect of the work of CBK is to equip members (that’s you) with tools and resources to help you be fully known and present in your community.

One way we do that is through our monthly newsletter. Not on the list? Let’s fix that!! Visit our website to subscribe.
