Get to know for our very first !
As the Worship Ops Pastor, Erick often says that he’s the “details guy.” He partners with the rest of the team to make sure that all of our campuses have the resources needed each week to execute services well. He also works alongside Reggie to care for and pastor the team while continually pointing them to Jesus.

What’s your favorite worship song currently?
“This rotates at least once a month, but currently it’s “So Much Better (I Yield) by Legacy Nashville. It’s a strong reminder that all things in my life—even the good things that God has given me—pale in comparison to the satisfaction found in Jesus (Ps. 16:11). And it gives language to respond to Him - “to Your wisdom, to Your vision, to Your will, I yield.” And that’s what I want my life to reflect.”

How do you prepare spiritually and mentally before a worship service?
“My prep really spans the whole week. I’m very much into journaling as part of my time with the Lord, so as things come to mind related to a Sunday or Wednesday, I’m praying through those things, whether it’s a Scripture that’s on my heart or maybe a lyric that’s really resonating with me. On the day of, a lot of it is just about getting out of my own head. It’s easy for me to make it about me and my performance, and so usually back stage it’s just a quick silent prayer surrendering that to the Lord and asking Him to use me despite my own self-seeking tendencies.”

“A fun fact about me that people may not know is I’m a MASSIVE nerd – I love all things fantasy/adventure (think Lord of the Rings), hours-long board games, TTRPGs, you name it. Ask me about it sometime!”
