To be an informed voter…The Saint James Respect Life Group invites you to hear Olivia Gans Turner speak on the proposed Virginia constitutional amendment on abortion which will appear on the ballot this coming fall, September 18–November 3. She will join us on Monday, August 31st, 7:00pm–8:30pm in Monsignor Heller Hall.

Olivia Gans Turner is president of the Virginia Society for Human Life, the nation's first state pro-life organization, founded in 1967 and affiliated with National Right to Life. A nationally recognized pro-life speaker, she has addressed audiences in all 50 states and more than 17 countries.

We can have lots of faith. We can believe really strongly in the Lord Jesus. But sometimes, like Peter, when things get hard, that faith can start to crumble. Faith is a gift that we have to continuously go back to. Our challenge this week is to find the Act of Faith online and pray it each morning when we wake up, making a daily renewal of that faith we have in our Lord Jesus Christ.

This week, identify who are the "vast suffering crowds" that show up in your life, and figure out what their needs are. Take that a step further though, and then ask the Lord, "Help me to feel their suffering like You do. Let me see them with Your eyes." That will then motivate the true Christian charity that is being Christ to another.
