🎒What a wonderful Sunday at First Christian Church Arlington! ❤️

We had such a meaningful time together in worship and community. We celebrated our students with our Blessing of the Backpacks and were also blessed to hear from our youth groups about their summer mission trips to Oklahoma City and Washington, D.C. It was inspiring to hear about all God is doing through our young people!

After worship, we enjoyed a fantastic youth fundraiser featuring a delicious baked potato lunch and a silent auction. 🥔💙

A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the day such a success—from preparing the meal and organizing the auction to supporting our youth and serving throughout the day. We are so grateful for our church family and the way you continue to love, encourage, and invest in our students!

What a wonderful afternoon at our Disciples Women’s Summer Luncheon at Spring Creek Barbeque! We enjoyed great food, wonderful fellowship, and an inspiring presentation from our special guest speaker, Dr. Michelle Kelly, UTA Vice President for Health and Well-Being.

Dr. Kelly introduced us to the Emerging Mavericks Program at The University of Texas at Arlington, which supports young adults who have experienced foster care or homelessness as they begin their college journey. We were inspired to learn how this program provides encouragement, resources, and opportunities for students as they work toward a brighter future.

First Christian Church Arlington is excited to explore ways to partner with this incredible program. Our hope is to sponsor and support students who have aged out of foster care or experienced homelessness, helping them feel seen, valued, and encouraged as they pursue their education.

A heartfelt thank you to Spring Creek Barbeque for providing such a welcoming space for our luncheon. We are grateful for your hospitality and for helping make our gathering so special.
