MISSION SUPPORT NEEDED: In May we are going to Panama with Filter of Hope to bring clean drinking water to poor communities. To cover the costs, which includes the equipment to provide 10 years’ worth of clean water to many families, we are seeking support. If you would like to partner and make a tax-deductible donation, use the link below. Under the “Fund” pull down, select “Missions” and on the screen where you give your payment info, put “For Soesbee Family – Filter of Hope Panama” in the NOTES.
We are seeking to raise $3,000 for this life-changing cause. Donations in any amount will help and be appreciated. We also value your prayers, as this will be Cooper’s first mission trip. He is so excited to do something that is a little bit scary in the name of the Lord.
Bringing clean water to these homes is vital to their health. We will also be using the clean water as a metaphor for sharing the gospel to provide spiritual health to the community.

This picture here alone says so much about the hurricane that just ripped through Asheville and Western North Carolina.
The amount of force it took to wrap this shipping container is unreal, and this is what was unleashed throughout North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. The worst storm in History. To say these people need prayer is an understatement.

So thankful for all those who are able to go and with supplies and help with the rebuild of the infrastructure that was wiped away. So much devastation and heartache through it all. If you are able to help any at all, please find a church and send money, supplies so they can get it to the people in need.

With all the hardship that has taken place in our country and this world right now, and so many emotions slapping us in the face.
I was reading this morning and this verse hit me in a positive way.
Matthew 28: 20 "And remember, I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

God promises He will never leave nor forsake us on our journey.

Through deep waters, even fire, He will be with us always. Always working—pursuing the lost, restoring the broken, calming the anxious, comforting the lonely, helping the angry, encouraging the fearful, and forgiving the guilty.

Then this song came to mind and I sat and listened, pray you will listen and be encouraged as well.

God promises He will never leave nor forsake us on our journey.

I am not sure how many people have been paying attention to the NBA playoffs and the championship games over the past couple of months. Last night, Boston Celtics won the championship. Congratulations to the team and the organization.

The Celtics were truly the dominate team, but their ability to dominate on the court is not what has impressed me about this team, it is the Coach that has impressed me more than any of the players through it all. Coach Joe Mazzulla during his interviews has been strong in his answers to all his questions he has given, but what has really stood out, is his Faith in Christ. His humility and humbleness and just pure raw love for Christ has been awesome to watch and listen to.

Looking at his career even before being an NBA coach, I have learned that he is a man of Integrity, honor, and he is loyal when he promises something. He could have started his career in the NBA earlier, but because he promised Fairmont State to help them in a time of need, Coach Joe turned down the Assistant coaching job that was offered to him in 2018 by the Boston Celtics, and Danny Ange told him that coaching jobs only come around every once in a while. Coach Joe knew this was true and realized that he might not get the chance again and cried on his flight back home, but coach wanted to keep his promise that he had promised to Fairmont State.

In 2019, the offer to come to Boston once again came around, and this time Coach Joe took it, and in 2022, Boston Celtics announced him as the new Head coach for the team.

Last night, June 17th, 2024, Coach Joe Mazzulla is the youngest coach, at 35 to ever win the NBA championship. I am not a Celtics fan, but I truly respect this coach and how he has handled himself with the media and how he has been so bold to be honest about his faith. He might be a young coach, but he is seasoned in his faith and walk with Christ, and has proven to be an outstanding leader to his team. I believe we are getting ready to see a dynasty rise up in Boston with this coach.

Thank you Coach Joe Muzzulla for being faithful in who you are in Christ. Praying your leadership with be an inspiration to so many others.
