In Exodus 3:1-12, Moses encounters God in a burning bush and is sent to do something far bigger than he feels equipped for. "Who am I to do this?" he asks.

Reflecting on this passage, Rev. Kathy Dwyer reminded us that God may not always give us the assurance we want or explain how things will unfold. But we're given something much more enduring: "I will be with you."

May we have the courage to pay attention, to trust, and to act.

This summer, we've explored what it means to be Centered and Called. As we savor the last days of summer and begin to turn towards the fall, how will you continue these practices?

Next Sunday, August 23, we will have a brief service of hymns and prayers at Rock Spring at 10am and then join our neighbors at Calloway United Methodist to worship outdoors and help build the beloved community through service and a shared meal.
