We celebrated Pentecost a week early this year! Our annual flying of the kites was a great reminder of the POWER of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

The youth cheer squad is BACK and busier than ever! 📣🔥

What a week cheering on Hannah, Ben, Sam, and Josue - softball, baseball, acting, soccer… we did it all!

So proud of these youth - they truly are something special. It’s such a joy not only to watch them shine in their own activities, but to see the way they show up and cheer on their friends 🤍

We want to keep showing up and cheering loud - so send us those schedules, and the youth squad will be there!

Our second session of "Get to Know Jesus Camp," was another great success! We continued on our conversations about change in the Bible. Do you think you can figure out which Bible character we focused on this week?

He is risen, He is risen indeed!! 🤍

What a beautiful day to come together on this Easter morning and celebrate our risen Christ! Full hearts, joyful worship, and sweet moments captured in front of the cross.

We loved seeing so many of you and sharing this day as a church family. It’s been such a meaningful Lenten season for our church, and we’re so grateful to walk through it together.

Last night, we joined together for our Ash Wednesday service. Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent and reminds us that we don’t have to carry everything on our own. We are invited to lay what’s weighing us down and trust God with it. It’s also a reminder that life moves in seasons - seasons of change, growth, and letting go - and that God stays with us through all of them.

Our theme this Lenten season is “Letting Go and Letting God.” Even when life feels uncertain or overwhelming, God is steady. As we journey through Lent together, we’re invited to release the need to control, take a deep breath, and trust that God is already at work.

Through our reflection stations: giving and receiving of the ashes, a blessing wall, creating with clay, beads and art - we created space for quiet prayer, creativity, and surrender.

Grateful for a meaningful and hope-filled beginning to this season đź’ś

And that’s a wrap on our Mystery Trip weekend! We had such a blast exploring Virginia’s Historic Triangle. Throughout the weekend, we were reminded that change is unavoidable and often comes in seasons throughout our lives. Even in the unexpected, God remains our constant presence.

This weekend was all about learning how to truly let go and let God. The youth embraced the theme, leaning into the mystery and unexpected moments of the weekend. As we prepare for the upcoming season of Lent, we can carry this theme with us. When we let go, we make room to trust that He is already at work, guiding every step.

A big thank you to Ms. Jessica Davis for creating the amazing logo on our T-shirts!

Day 2 of the mystery trip included a very special visit with a very special person! The youth had the chance to spend time with Ms. Lisa Flowers and attend worship service with her, which made for such a meaningful and memorable morning together!

When the rain changed our original plans, we leaned into the theme of the weekend and embraced the change. We had a lot of fun hanging out and playing arcade games at our Airbnb before heading back out into the rain to explore Colonial Williamsburg. Throughout the day, we reflected on how - even when plans change - God is constant in our lives, always present and faithful!

And the Mystery Trip location is… Williamsburg!

The youth had a great first day exploring Jamestown and Yorktown! Our theme for the weekend is “Letting Go and Letting God,” and we were able to step back in time and see “firsthand” just how much has changed since the days of the Native Americans and early settlers in these areas.

We were reminded that “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Change is inevitable. We can’t always stop it, schedule it, or even fully understand it. But we can learn to trust God and walk faithfully with Him through every season of change.

Looking forward to the rest of the weekend and more opportunities for growth, friendship and deepening our faith together! ✨
