Equip Disciples stands squarely in the orthodox, biblical, evangelical tradition and was formed to facilitate missions aimed at building up and training Christian leaders who will be able to train others also. And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful individuals who will be able to teach others also. (2 Timothy 2.2)
We see the opportunity and the respo
nsibility for Christians, irrespective of their status as clergy or laity, to participate in Jesus' call to disciple all peoples, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matt. 28:19-20). We train others through discipleship conferences as we train them in basic Theology and Bible Study methods. The participants are given Bible Study materials and Bibles to begin study groups in their homes, churches, or communities. Some Bible study groups are missional in nature and are started in remote areas.
